no it has to be surgical tape. i don't do it much anymore b/c it's such a pain. and i've found that if i stretch out my neck and upper back, and massage my scalp, the lymphatic drainage works and i don't need to tape it to keep the swelling down.
Sure! If you have swelling it absolutely helps. You know what else I found though? If I stretch out my neck, massage my scalp and otherwise massage my face, I find the swelling goes down. It's mostly in the morning that I find it so full. It's the lymphatic drainage that needs to be stimulated in my case.
It really works - but it's only going to take away any fluids that are building up in the tissue. So it won't change the structure of the cartilage. Try it! Or try face massage to get the lymphatic drainage going so any excess fluids won't build up in your nose.

It will! You know what else? If I massage my scalp and my neck, that also helps I've noticed. Anything to get the lymphatic drainage working again...

i wouldn't..not good for your skin. they have medical grade nose tape on amazon for like $5 i'd do that instead
