Tajikistan is our (Kyrgyzstan's) neighbouring country-Love from UK. I am originally from Kyrgyzstan and my parents live with Tajik people in a small village
You are a very daring and courages solo lady traveller. And your instinct and awareness in keeping yourself safe is fantastic especially as a single attractive solo lady traveller. Keep safe and more travel videos for us to watch.
For your information, you have been eating in a "chaikhaneh / chaikhona", literally house (khaneh) for tea (chai) in Persian language (as in Tadjik / Dari language). in Central Asia, this apply to restaurant. There you ate "kurtob" / qurutob, made from qurut (the dried balls of salty cheese) mixed with water (ob / ab in Persian language). Kurtob dedicated restaurants are Kurutkhona.
I was curious to hear about the food and I'm glad you commented. According to a quick google search I jut did, Qurutob is apparently Tajikistan's national dish. It looks quite good.
In Penjikent, the Rudaki Museum deserves the visit, as the Olim Dodkho complex (opposite to the bazar). In addition, archaeology enthusiasts would be interested by Old Penjikent and by Sarazm (on the way to the border). South of Penjikent, lot of opportunities for trekking in the Fan Mountains.
How much diversity there is in the world, very nice video from this incredibly beautiful country. Like every country we visit with you, People, the view, the culture, the customs. It's great to see you enjoying interacting with the locals and seeing and trying traditional local products. Thanks Syifa for sharing, Have a nice weekend✨
What a lovely journey. Just shows how the world is a diverse and interesting place mostly filled by genuine friendly people who just wish to get along. Thanks for making my Saturday afternoon more enjoyable..... oops and a bit lazy should really be doing the chores. Anyhow as always be safe and well and enjoy your time together with Dave
Next time, you hopefully will have more time available for discoveries. For instance, on your way from Dushanbe, you have been close to Iskander Kul (25km from Sarvoda), where Alexander the Great is supposed to have been. Quite nice landscape with some possible walks in the area.
@@SyifaAdriana you are welcome. It's such a joy watching you on your travels. Though I have to admit you are indeed a brave girl travelling alone. Stay safe and Take Care
That's very kind, Michael! I sarted traveling alone in 2013 and have greatly enjoyed it. I got married to my British husband last year as weve been together for 5 years. I have found another joy in traveling with him and sharing similar experiences. We are learning more about each other's dynamic when travel filming and hopefully our future travel videos will still come across as joyful as the other ones :-)@@michaeljohn3738
At 12', you stopped at Obi Togmat / Оби Тогмат. This spot is famed for the purity of its water and legends have sprung up about its powers. There, you tested ayran / Айрон (called doogh in Iran), made from yogurt and the local water.
I have seen some of your videos. Very good. We went to Kirgisistan, Kasakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in april 2024. We were amazed by the hospitality and friendly people! In Tajikistan we went to Kuhjand. Just amazing experiences! Border control took some time, but went very smooth. - I saw your videos before our trip and now afterwards! Appreciate them very much. Thank a lot. Best regards Per from Norway.
Ah, Per thank you so much for your comment and for letting me know. That’s so amazing that you experience such a great array of hospitality in Central Asia. Thank you for your comment again, it makes me so proud of the work that I do ☺️
Good one 2 guys were really helpful and great video came out of wonderful border town. Solo travelers like us get lot of information and helps us in negotiation of price for shopping and traveling.
Hi Syifa, wow, that was interesting to watch! It's great, you had Shah and Ahmad to show you - and us - around town and the bazaar! Interesting to hear that most people in Panjakent are Uzbeks. The view at the end, of Registan Square and a couple of mosques in Samarkand, gave me goose bumps and brought my time there back! I shot over 3500 photos in Tashkent and Samarqand, with my company's digital SLR camera - I went a bit crazy with the camera and others joked that the camera had to be 'surgically removed from my hand'. 😂 Looking forward to see your adventures in Samarqand and Bukhara!
Thanks a lot, Diz! Hahaha what a funny story with 3500 photos. I am so thankful for these kind people and indeed I didnt know it either regarding local knowlegde Ahmad shared with us. Truly grateful for the experience :)
I love nature's beauty more than artificial beauty. I have enjoyed very much the passes through Fann mountains, its surroundings with their winsome and magnificent beauty. Your other videos are equally informative and interesting. Your sweet and lucid language makes your videos interesting. Tajik people are very social and friendly. Pranjakent is vibrant with local farmers who are selling their vegetables, fruits and spices etc.to their customers. Panjakent is small but lovely town with its lovely people.
