Queen Victoria also known as the famine Queen. Her legacy is not well liked. Great story though in Dublin all the Georgian houses have brightly painted doors it’s beautiful. The way that came about is when Prince Albert died Queen Victoria’s husband the Irish were ordered to paint the doors black for his morning. The Irish being the Irish painted all their doors bright colors. Also if you go out west and see the brightly painted houses that’s also from this time. The Irish would always find a way of rebellion
You’re right from what I’ve learned they weren’t a big fan of her. Yes our tour guide when we were in Dublin said that they were suppose to paint their doors black and they did not. Definitely rebellious! We really enjoyed see all the old houses as we drove through Ireland!
