I think the fact joker isn’t flashy is actually a huge strength for him. You see all these stars doing crazy flash moves and then get injured. Jokic simple but efficient movements keep him healthy while beating the competition.

Because I think you have to know what you're looking at to appreciate what Jokic does. It's not like he's dunking it from the free throw line. It's beyond Magic-Johnson-level passing, but his body language isn't Showtime like that. Even basketball fans, sometimes they watch him, and what he's doing takes a while to sink in. Anyway, you do know what you're looking at. So you see it.

I don't think anybody is saying Embiid is better than him. But I could understand if they're saying Embiid is better than Jokic this season. But skillwise? Joker has more of it when Embiid is already one of the most skilled big men in NBA history
It’s close, cuz Embiid can dominate the paint defensively. But as a shooter, Jokic, as a passer, Jokic, as a leader, Jokic. Embiid has great post moves, but Jokic gets it done as well. But when healthy, Embiid can ball on defense, Jokic is better on offense. They are two different styles. But Jokic stays healthy where Embiid is very injury prone. I take Jokic, but Embiid is a beast when healthy.

CP3 with another injury in the playoffs. The team looked completely lost without their floor general. Nuggets have better chemistry & a consistent rotation. Jokić is the real deal I thought he was overrated but whenever the ball is in his hands he makes the right decision. I’ll honestly be surprised if they don’t close this out in 5 games.
The Suns were def going to win if CP3 didn't get injured this game. We'll look back at yet another series that couldve gone the other way that involves/has to do Chris Paul.

Jokic has playing great in this playoffs. When the others struggle, he put that will to carrying this team to win. Nuggets could end this series in 4. The Suns lacks from bench production, Ayton is getting abused by Jokic and not playing well defence. KD and Booker always have to carry this load.

I officiated Jokic’s brother’s wedding recently. Jokic was as nice a guy as he seems to be. Also, an amazing uncle and father. At one point during the ceremony he had three kids on his lap. The bride and groom, Nikola’s brother, are also as nice as you find in this world. Since the small family wedding started late, I got to spend a few hours around folks. You sometimes hear stories of people meeting their sport’s heroes and discovering they are jerks. I met my all-time favorite basketball player and found him to be an amazing and friendly person. I will cherish the memory!

Joker is a pure fundamental clinic, he uses his height the way a big man should. He doesn't put the ball below his shoulders after he rebounds and he always keeps his head up so he can survey his surroundings.
It looks like Jokic takes all in his hands every time when the others can't. When the others play well, Jokic only supports them, leting them do their job. It shows how great he is.

Nowitzki was way more of a shooter from range and that was his bread and butter, jokic only shoots from outside as a final option most of the time. Jokic’s inside game way more creative and sneaky as well as the passing. So the similarities aren’t much imo. I would say their strongest similarity is being two of the very best European big men of all time.

Dwight Howard. A big that can give you size, rebounds, DEFENSE and 6 fouls.
Boogie Cousins. Can give you offense, REBOUNDING, size and 6 fouls off of the bench.
2 Hall of Famers and an All Star caliber big man that would’ve filled those roles nicely not only for Phoenix, but quite a few Playoff teams.
You can NEVER underestimate a VETERAN presence on the bench. What they can’t give you athletically, they can provide with wisdom and spurts of greatness.
Phoenix is toast. No depth, no offensive cohesion, perimeter defense is a problem and lack of size.
