was the vignette bad on the wide end? it seems like the projected image circle diameter of the lens is a bit larger than the mft 21.5mm - even while the focal reducer further shrinks it to a 2.11x crop factor
The AF is spotty I found, I would also defer to Manual for proper photos. The Speed booster range on the FF is more like 1.8 x crop, so 18-35 becomes around 30-50ish on a MFT with the Viltrox
@@StephenBell_video Yo thanks a bunch for your response. I was kind of looking at this combo to take photos and rely on the AF. I use manual focus for video anyway.
Really nice shots, I've only been to Toronto once, but I think it's an awesome city. I was supposed to go last July, but COVID. I've seen so many reviews for this combination of lens/adapter/camera for video, but almost nothing for photography. Do you mind commenting on how quick the AF is? Also you mentioned that accuracy is a little hit and miss, can you estimate the number of hits vs misses?
Thanks Trevor! Toronto has some great photo spots, definitely worth checking out when COVID subsides. The AF on this system is more unpredictable when you really open up the aperture, I find anything after 2.8-3 is somewhat reliable. Its definitely evident in video more than photos. I would say there is about 80% reliability on the AF for photos, but keep in mind Manual gaurantees the best results. Also be aware that shooting in humid tropical environments sometimes acts funky with this combo. I took this down to the caribbean and I found the camera crashed a couple of times for no reason.
Old Town Toronto is my favorite area to shoot, lots if very old and heritage buildings around there mike the Flat Iron and St Lawrence Market. I use to always go there for work but rarely took pictures. But back then I only had a Canon T3.
I am not sure you can backwards adapt an L-Mount to a micro four thirds body. The adapter to a focus by wire lens, isn't possible as far as I know? However I see a link on the B&H website for a possible adapter? Lmount to Micro 4 3 Adapter
Hey, tell me what about this sigma seal? Are you not afraid that winter will hurt her? Do you additionally seal at the dipstick? I have this lens and some concerns about sealing against moisture and dust
Good question- I usually aim to shoot with this setup when it’s not snowing or raining. I definitely would not suggest harsh conditions when shooting with a Viltrox or metabones speed booster
Do you shoot on Sigma glass?
Great video !! I just moved to Toronto and am looking for a local photography workshop. Any recommendations? Thanks !!!

Osmo Action POV for the win!
So versatile!
Hi! Fantastic video! Thank you. How is the AF on this one? Also, what's the ff equivalent of the zoom range after the speed booster?

That's a big lens, but so beautiful! Always love Sigma lenses.
Sigma glass is the best glass

Awesome pictures! What LUTs did you use for the pics? Or graded it yourself?
Much appreciated! These were all quick grades I did in Lightroom. Haven't made photo LUTs before - but might put together a package
@@StephenBell_video did you shoot in standard profile?

Old Toronto and queen west has such great areas to shoot and had a wealth of visual stories!
Hello there ,Is a speed booster the same as an adapter ?
And would a 35mm F1.4 Art DG HSM L-Mount fit on the lumix G9 ?
