      You guys really need to do a segment on MicroVision (MVIS). Talk about management that does everything to bury shareholders and is anything but a responsible fiduciary... They even had the audacity to acquire some bankrupt assets for millions of dollars to gain access to a completely different business segment (mining??).
      It is truly a call for a thesis paper on how to run a business into the ground, yet keep "investors" locked in on their "investment".
      I IMPLORE you guys to look at them.

      Couldn't be happier to hear people say they're learning something from our videos. It's all about helping make you a better investor. We've all made the same mistakes so best we can do is learn from them. And the fat lady hasn't sung yet by any means. Once DM gets the P-50 selling full steam then that will help boost sales and margins. If they can manage cash and not have to raise capital, even better. We actually like MKFG the most of the three, despite it is way too small to be on our buying radar. Thank you for the feedback!

      Lots of M&A drama going on in the 3DP community which is why we've been holding off on doing an update. May have to revisit the thesis soon. Glad you enjoyed the video!

      @Nanalyze  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're most welcome. Very good question. 3DP never properly made it to mass production because the technology - at least so far - has never been as great as people thought it was. Any other speculations as to why?

    Theoretically, what would you say to someone already invested in this stock? Hold or bail?
    A little backstory, I found myself caught up in the story, not too far over my head (still diversified) but realized too late (after watching many of your videos) that I am , in fact, a bag holder. What did you do, in the past, when you realized that you were a bag holder? Did you bail or cut losses? Specifics?

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      This is precisely why we invest in stocks with conviction. Just because you are down 90% on a stock, that hardly means you are a bag holder. This is a legitimate business with legitimate potential. Ask yourself, what changed since you invested? Sure, they haven't grown at the pace you'd like to see, but companies take time to grow. Unless your thesis changed, why would you sell? Invest in companies, not stocks. If the company starts selling the P-50 like hotcakes while margins improve meaningfully, it should be all uphill from here.
      There are two reasons we sell a disruptive tech stock we invest in - if revenue growth stalls, or the thesis changes. This isn't a stock we'd invest in with conviction right now, but we're also very risk averse investors.

    • @Foxbat131
      @Foxbat131 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Nanalyze That totally makes sense. And I watch your videos knowing I have to be risky given my age and income. My thesis starting out was buy and hold long term.. but then this bull market happened and Datadog .. and others are looking like a much better bargain (short and long term). I'd hate to cut and run, my original thesis hasn't changed with this company but other deals are catching my eye..

    • @Foxbat131
      @Foxbat131 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Nanalyze I'm only down 20%, which is a fair amount but an amount that I could make back. I'm not an advocate of cut and run usually but this market is a buyer's market.

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well 20% is really just noise. So it comes down to opportunity costs. Remember, you don't have to think binary - sell all or hold all. You can also move in increments. Sell half the DM position and buy some Datadog, for example.
      Here's the most important thing you need to do. Start at a much higher level and make some decisions about the themes you want exposure to. Then, start putting together the portfolio. Don't let yourself be pulled in all different directions based on the latest exciting stock you're coming across. And that's great you're willing to share your thought process because others are likely having the same questions.
      Get to the point where you're comfortable with your decisions such that you don't need others to make them for you. It does take time to have conviction to be honest. Probably comes with the stubbornness of old age. And remember, it's about time in the market, not timing the market.

    3D Systems (DDD) also offers metal additive using laser powder bed fusion (LPBF). There are so many metal additive companies (public/private) that I don’t see the appeal unless they have FCF. You could also buy GE stock since they own Concept Laser and Arcam. (not financial advice)

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When looking for 3D printing stocks, we look for pure-play companies, so GE would not fit the bill. DDD hasn't managed to achieve revenue growth for a long while, so we're also not interested in it. We admit we're struggling to find a decent 3D printing company to invest in these days. Here's our latest piece on a few of our latest disappointing finds: www.nanalyze.com/2023/03/metal-3d-printing-stocks-broken-promises/

    • @adamr5060
      @adamr5060 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Nanalyze Thanks for the article! The other problem is that the tech from all of these companies in LPBF are very similar. If the plan is to sell machines, then its more difficult for companies to buy in since there are alot of overhead costs. Most additive companies starting out now are trying to just sell parts and gradually improve the printing process while keeping their IP. This to me is a better business model vs trying to have companies commit to establishing a whole additive space just to run these. The tech is there, just needs a better business model. If corporate incompetency was a crime, the DM executives would be incarcerated now.

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      SPACs were unique in that they tested the honesty of executives. DM executives said they'd have $329 million in ORGANIC growth this year. That means if we exclude the 10 acquisitions they made, that remaining revenue should be over $300 million this year. Not even close. Would love to see what the organic number actually looks like, and perhaps that's why analysts are constantly pressing them for information on the P-50 platform.

    • @soundslight7754
      @soundslight7754 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Nanalyze I appreciate your time and elaboration Joe. Yes, tested and I can't think of even one SPAC passing it with flying colours but there must be one or two.
      The quality of those 10 acquisitions are highly questionable to say the least, price paid for them were obscene, their growth has been dismal, their transparency leaves a lot to desire. The executives have squandered shareholders investment, have not delivered on their promises. At best they've been grossly incompetent and at worst criminally negligent. I think they should be charged with corporate incompetency 😊

    Could you do an overview/analysis of the HPQ? Possibly a rise and fall in growth of the company, and if the business can successfully transition into a prominent player in the 3D printing market.

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The presenter used to work at HPQ several decades ago in their R&D division when they were working on 3DP. They missed their chance to dominate in that space, and now the extent to which they're dabbling remains unclear as they don't break these numbers out in their financials.

    P Series are not selling, X Series are. Because they are proven. It was fun working at Exone! Amazing Tech, DM barely could cope with us LOL. We still kick ass!! and yes in the video the person said DM's secrecy on printers sold, because they have not sold any haha

      Does will.i.am still work there? We lost interest when they seemed to lose their way back when 3DP was being heavily hyped. A cursory look at the financials shows a firm that can't grow revenues. We might revisit them at some point based on viewer interest.

      @Nanalyze  ปีที่แล้ว

      Prior to being profitable they need to expand those gross margins. We're still waiting to hear how things are going for the flagship product investors sunk over a billion dollars into - the P-50.
