Does anyone think it is possible to have a life being a truck driver? Like I am trying to see if I can get a bachelors on what would be my downtime . I wonder....
If you are OTR or work local in food service, you will not have a life. If you are otr you will have downtime to do your school work, assuming you do online school.
Werner just told their multi million mile drivers that are on 48 state that they can either train or do 100% driver unload Family Dollar...... Or, you're no longer needed at Werner.
Can you drive your vehicle to the terminal? I don’t want to be stuck in my hotel/terminal if I want to get things plus not having to do extra stuff to get home & get there
@@MisaHidalgo I to might be going to school then contracted with Werner I’ll check out your videos I’m guess hotel is a room mate for 30 days and since I’m coming from the pompano beach area I’ll get a rental maybe ??? But that you for making these videos
Pretty much all your questions are answered in the multiple videos on my channel about Werner. Thanks for watching them and SUBSCRIBE if they help you.
I would not recommend it but as a new CDL holder you don’t have much choice unfortunately. Only big carriers will hire you and they will try and take advantage of you. From what I’ve heard, other big carriers like Werner are similar in how much they suck with new driver treatment. So just pick one and do your time and leave.
If you can find a small to medium company that hires new CDL holders then that’s probably your best bet. But from my experience and from what others have told me, most major carriers are all the same. They talk a big game and make promises to get you in the door but they don’t deliver on anything they promise.

Ask the recruiter. When I was there, there were people that drive their car to the terminal but not everyone fid
If you currently hold a med card is it still required to do another physical
It depends on if the company that hires you wants you to get a new one
Thanks for the response, I do have a cdl school setup ready to go I’m just trying to make some extra money before I start my career.
Hope it works out for ya
Quick question I might have to go with Werner’s after cdl school how much is weekly pay
In general Werner and all the big carriers pay really low. I have another video on my channel where I show what they paid me.
