The Waldorf is beautiful 😍😍😍wayyy outta my price range, one day🤷🏽♀️ I went to the Maldives this past summer and stayed at Coco Bodu Hithi, that resort was beautiful, the service amazing. It's like they read ur mind in the Maldives, anything like I've ever experienced.
There were many tears shed on that last day... And it's kind of ruined every future resort and airline now :D Susan was trying to book return flights before we even left!
Hi guys, was wondering what your post-trip thoughts were? The google listing has been flooded with fake reviews and I see a bunch of detailed 1 star complaints from a year ago. I know its been 2 years for you guys but curious if service was up to par, or if you had any rude staff? Thanks!
I see that there is a sliding door to shut off closet area from the bedroom, is there another sliding door from the bathroom area? Thinking about where to have our small child sleep and was hoping we could have her in the closet/hallway area and just go around on the deck to access the bathroom. Thoughts?
So there is only one set of doors closing off the bedroom to the closet area, there isn't a second set of doors to close off the bathroom to the closet area unfortunately! Your best bet might be to get the Grand Overwater Villa or Grand Reef villa so you have the separate living area with more space for the child!
Thank you! And that is a great question. (sorry for the long reply!) Food was EXPENSIVE!! We justified it with it being our honeymoon and the rooms were on points! With the Hilton Surpass Card through Amex, you get Hilton Gold status and if you have the Aspire then you get Diamond status. With either status you get free breakfast and their breakfast was HUGE!!! It is a large breakfast buffet and so we went there every morning for free and it kept us both very full until dinner, so dinner was the only meal we actually paid for. They have a lot of restaurant options, but It was about $300-400 per day on food, maybe cheaper some days if we were not too hungry or wanting to try everything on the menus (we did not hold back on ordering food!). We actually had Diamond status with Hilton so we also got to go to the free happy hour daily at Peacock Alley and they also serve a snack of mixed bar nuts with the happy hour drinks, so that keeps you full too. I'd say at least budget about $150 per person per day for food if you aren't trying to go ultra low budget, but if you are trying for ultra low budget then $50-100 per person per day will probably get you by at some restaurants!
It is about $2,209 USD per night, but we did not pay that!! Susan will be making a separate video on how we booked this to stay without paying per night :) Stay tuned!
