amazing sound. on the fence about the price tag, but i know the build quality is there.
Good demo. Running that overdrive pedal along with the internal stereo vibrato sounded great, almost a univibe result to it.

Did not expect them to sound so different... Dumb question but, was care taken to match the settings or were they dialed in to sound different?
Both amps were using the same settings.
You mentioned 2 12-watt amps.
Stereo input?
Effects loop?
I ask this because many Magnatone amps have built-in stereo *effects* but they are not actually stereo amps. Can you run a stereo modulation pedal into the amp and have it ping-pong between the two speakers?
The vibrato on the amp is true stereo, hence the two amplifiers. The input jack is mono though. No fx loop.
So these are new amps ?
Does the head has real stereo inputs or just two different impedance inputs ?

We were a Magnatone dealer two years ago, we currently do not carry Magnatone products.
Here's another question. They call this stereo because there are two amps inside it. But they are both playing exactly the same thing, so how is it "true stereo"? True stereo, as in our hi-fi stereo record players, have different instruments on different channels. I don't see how having two identical amps in one box playing exactly the same sound is any different than having one amp with two satellite speaker cabs. Isn't that the exact same sound as the Magnatone "stereo"? Why not just buy a mono Magnatone and run it into two cabs - same thing, no?
Sounds very promising, we need a demo with some delay and reverb pedals.
To hear how the amp handles that!
Magnatone's downloadable Owner's Manual lacks an explanation about how to use the speaker outs. It says 8 ohms on the amp, but does that mean 8 total between two cabs, or 8 for each out, or what? And you say it will drive four speakers. How, if it will only handle 8 ohms? There are only two speaker outs. Will only the combo version do four speakers, since the two in the cab stay on all the time? The head version would only have the two speaker outs, so it will only do two speakers? You'd have to buy a combo to drive four speakers? Very confusing.
And they don't say anything about biasing. Should I assume the Panoramic is cathode biased and the Twilighter is fixed? More confusion. Why isn't all of this explained if we are going to spend a small fortune on one of these?
I think Magnatone could use an Owner's Manual lesson from MESA, who does a fabulous job of explaining amps that cost less than these do.
Bit Tinny sound to me. Probably better with 2x12s. Nice amp for Pros but way too expensive for me. Servicing costs would be high , And you would need a good amp tech to do it. I would still like one instead of my Boss Katana !
Magnatone stands behind their products and will repair the amp. I just had my Magnatone Varsity Reverb serviced by their repair team. They did a great job as you'd expect and just charged me for parts. Nothing but nice people run Magnatone. I've also got one of their Super 15s. Much cheaper than their stereo amps but just as badass. I'm going to sell all of my other amplifiers and buy a couple more Magnatones. Can't go wrong

We are well aware of this. This video was posted over two years ago when Austin Guitar House was still a Magnatone dealer. We no longer carry Magnatone amps but we left the video up anyway.
I'd like to hear the tremolo as well
