Just cuz you don't have any tags or it's out of season doesn't mean you can't defend yourself. Only thing is if you do have to defend yourself against an animal out of season or out of tags you'll most likely have to turn the animal over to game wardens.

My husband laugh's calls me Elli Mae. This deer, was angry at the hunter. I know of times when deer attack hunters, and I always wondered why. My son shot a buck, he was down, as my son approached, the deer sprang up and pinned him to a tree. His sidearm saved his life. It was in the field beside the house and I saw it. It was a battle of sorts I'll not forget.

Honestly kinda terrifying when it stares you down. Had a similar experience with a 7 pointer couple years ago was just getting to my stand and had a weird feeling, turn around to see him charging at me from across a field. Keep in mind I only weigh about one hundred pounds soaking wet thing stopped only 4 yards from me. It had blood everywhere from fighting another buck which I spotted dead across the field. Absolutely terrifying to experience videos don’t do justice to it

That happened to me one time during my youth session. The buck I shot just dropped dead in a clover field, and around him were three does and another buck. After I shot my buck, the other buck went over, trying to get the buck up and stomping his feet on the ground. Then, out of nowhere fricken two coyotes come rushing out of the woods and go for the buck that I just shot at. My dad told me to shoot near the coyotes, and I did. Obviously, the coyotes didn't stay for long and got my message, lol.

Honestly kinda terrifying when it stares you down. Had a similar experience with a 7 pointer couple years ago was just getting to my stand and had a weird feeling, turn around to see him charging at me from across a field. Keep in mind I only weigh about one hundred pounds soaking wet thing stopped only 4 yards from me. It had blood everywhere from fighting another buck which I spotted dead across the field. Absolutely terrifying to experience videos don’t do justice to it

That happened to me one time during my youth session. The buck I shot just dropped dead in a clover field, and around him were three does and another buck. After I shot my buck, the other buck went over, trying to get the buck up and stomping his feet on the ground. Then, out of nowhere fricken two coyotes come rushing out of the woods and go for the buck that I just shot at. My dad told me to shoot near the coyotes, and I did. Obviously, the coyotes didn't stay for long and got my message, lol.
