Example is that 40% returns of 4 years and 50 % negative return of 5th year will leave profit of only 13.95%. And if investor had 0% return in 5th year his average CAGR would have been 30.89%. One of my portfolio stock today started going down and when I checked it was in ASM list so I thought some sort of fraud so I exited ....As I got scared but later I checked on google but sill haven't got the clarity and after I sold stock again went up.....Although my buying price was very low so I made good profit but I bought it for long term so Now I am confused should I buy again or wait for it to go out of ASM list or there is nothing to worry if a stock goes into asm list.

You once said that stock price of a good company does not fall much more than 40% from highs. Voltas, for example, has fallen 40% from top. Is risk-reward favourable if one invests with a view of 1-2 years?
Voltas is rapidly losing market share. Plus their JV with Beko is yielding nothing. Further, for some strange reason resellers dont want to carry Voltas AC atleast in my state.

There are much better 'good companies' out there available at good valuations.
Multiple factors are in play ..price is just current state of affairs ...
Prices go up down based on market interpretation of current data..
