What an unforgettable weekend of metal detecting! 🌟 It was a truly once-in-a-lifetime adventure, filled with GOLD, silver, and incredible medieval artefacts.
🌬️ Day 1: The weather was on our side-sunny and perfect for detecting! Out in the field, I met a kind and enthusiastic stranger who shared his story of unearthing a gold coin, and I caught it all on video! What an amazing moment. 🏆
❄️ Day 2: The wind picked up, and the cold was relentless, but that didn’t stop us! We uncovered silver hammered coins, medieval relics, and an absolutely stunning gilded heraldic horse harness-a breathtaking find for Matt! 🔥

@@fibigirl No I’ve never been over detecting in the UK we are both my wife and myself from Birmingham and came to NZ in 1971 so yes I am old , get out most weeks detecting our history is from the mid 1800s when the first Europeans arrived here coils found here from the early 1800s mostly UK coins and Chinese from the gold mining day no metal in NZ till the arrival of Europe’s my earliest coil a 1861 UK half penny but still hunting keep the great videos coming.

Do you detect in the UK? I'm in Norway. What I do 95% of the time metal detecting is picking up litter and garbage! 😆 But I've been lucky a few times finding gold also. I found a pendant/amulet in pure gold from the migration period (year 400 - 550).
