I have seen this music video so many times and I think I understand now. It's a tale about the old ways in conflict with the modern industrialized world. The dark glasses on the goat as a novelty appeared so unexpectedly, the diesel vehicles replacing the camels, the giant power lines disrupting the shape of the virgin desert and that giant black liquid creature that ressembles a tick is clearly the evil Oil industry. The song sounds very chill and melancholic but the lyrics are quite pessimistic and sad. It also feels like a tale about the loss of a friend that had the courage to fight. Love from another god forsaken country.

That feeling being. ..human...the understanding of our vulnerabilities, strengths, longing for a better world... some unexplainable phenomenon that can only be felt but can't be verbally communicated...perhaps on the emotional and spiritual level..but never verbally. (The man talks about memories) In the Sahara Desert of Azawad, northern Mali, an ancient Tuareg man returned to the camp where he grew up for a party. He remembers the joys and agony of a Bedouin life he lived with a friend who has since passed away: memories from their naive childhoods in the sand dunes, the adventures they experienced during their teenage years, the battles and dramas of their adult lives... Their friendship tells the story of the tribal people who live in the Land of Unity.

African music is actually one of the few African things that isn´t underrated, as you can see from the comments :-) But otherwise, I´m afraid you´re right. I´m from central Europe and we know the geography of Africa (the countries, capitals, basic history etc.), but we don´t get many news from Africa. For example, we don´t learn about technical inventions in Africa, or about writers and new books. Many people in my country think all Africans live in huts. I really, really don´t like this and I want to change it, but I don´t know how. Fortunately, at least Nigeria is making its name as the "fashion capital of the world" and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is becoming famous as a writer. I hope it´s just the beginning :-)
I recently discovered your band and music through a radio in France and I love the mariage between the voices, the electric guitars and percussions. And the video clip is so beautiful !

Oh I felt the same about the story, brothers or friends, so beautiful, so deep 😊
It's amazing how music can take you to places that you've have never been before and remove a lot of feelings respect events that you have never experienced. The chords make me feel kind of nostalgic.
Regards from the other side of the world.
Marysanbrownie agree ❤
I know right. That feeling being. ..human...the understanding of our vulnerabilities, strengths, longing for a better world... some unexplainable phenomenon that can only be felt but can't be verbally communicated...perhaps on the emotional and spiritual level..but never verbally. I don't know if you get me...
same feeling 💙
that deep ..
Deep feelings must come and live it here in the deepest desert

I first listened to this song hugh af on hash. Im Algerian and nonetheless i have no clue what the words meant at the time. It was dark, just the lightbof the screen. The video turned into a movie and i was the story writer making up my own events. With the music, such an unforgettable experience. I understand now how artists come up with wonders

(The man talks about memories)
In the Sahara Desert of Azawad, northern Mali, an ancient Tuareg man returned to the camp where he grew up for a party.

مقتفيا أثر الذّكريّات المنحوتة
على رمال متحرّكة
لا تمش وأنت نائم
لا تبعدني
أنا أسير وأنا نائم

african music so underrated, like every things in africa
ooo we have the jungle fever.
