Thank you Anna for sharing your story. I found your TH-cam channel about one month ago and I am really enjoying all of your videos. You are an excellent teacher and having the listening practice with you is so important to my progress. I love that your mother started learning English on her own and that you started learning with her at such a young age. You are so lucky to have had that opportunity as a child !!!!

Thanks for sharing your story Anna. I can definitely see how teaching is your calling because you explain difficult linguistic concepts so very clearly. I'm getting so much out of your Russian Cases Boot Camp and always look forward to the lessons.

Thanks Anna....It is great to hear your story. I teach a number of languages for a living-just like you but in Dublin, Ireland- and I agree...it is great because when the students trust you, you make great new friends and it is very satisfying to see how happy they are when they make progress. It was a big move for you from Pyatigorsk to New York but it was the right one. I am leaning Russian and your lessons are brilliant...especially the fairy tales. You are clear and easy to understand. Thanks Anna...Keep up the good work...and best of luck for your future projects.

It is a wonderful way to learn. Learning from impersonal sources doesn't work, I think. I try to jot down any word I don't now and learn it. Then I listen to what you say several times, then I repeat and almost learn by heart some sentences. Very effective and pleasant, real russian spoken with a certain style, your style, your beautiful style. огромное спасибо, a dream would be to be able to download the text of what you say. But we can write it. The way you teach is perfect, you don't speak 90% of the time in english, as many do.

Anna, I have listened to your video for the first time, with English subtitles. On my second or third round, I plan to rely on Russian subtitles and eventually none at all. I am aware of Pyatigorsk . One of my first Russian Facebook friends came from there. She started out as a lonely teenager in search of the 'right boyfriend' probably not smart to talk about it to ten thousand strangers around the world. But she succeeded years later, finding someone and getting married, finally disappearing from Facebook. I met some additional countrymen of yours, coming from Pyatigorsk who worked as a waiter and a waitress in the Yummy Café in Eagle, Colorado in 2013. I could not know if they are still there but I doubt it. I think our two lives resemble one another very closely, if we only compare from 2010 to 2019. I also have studied many languages, and forgot a lot of them, especially Japanese. But Spanish is my strongest language. I can speak it fluently if I return and work on it. As for your videos, I am still studying your jaunt in the town of Lenox. I only have a little bit of time each day, and I have only covered half of it, studying the Russian words. But I find it rewarding, once again similarities in our two lives. I dislike noisy, busy highways especially when there is no sidewalk for the pedestrians. I prefer walking on a secluded trail or even a dirt service road, with almost no vehicles. Sorry if my post is too long. I am one of those students who can disrupt the classroom, hogging the teacher's attention. I have behaved like that, since the first grade.
