Funny you mention the power comment at the end. I've been rocking my 1200 sporty stock for 12 years. Top end needed rebuilding and I decided to go 1275 with cams. Is it cool having the hot rod motor..yes. It puts a giant smile on my face and damn it pulls like a freight train. However, honestly if I didn't need to actually repair the bike I don't know if all the money would have been worth it. It rode so nice before too. As long as you can get to 100ish farily quickly the rest is gravy. 2nd gear power wheelies are good gravy though haha.

Such a valid point about people doing big engine builds just to brag. I great setup without dumping into a engine is way better. I have 107 and a 88 and although did tune and cam on 88 I tend to ride it more. I don't have money to dump into a motor I can't use most the time anyways just to brag.
