Just want to inform you that Wave Hill, our lovely hosts, will be doing workshops as well, which you can find here: www.wavehill.org/calendar/lessons-from-wave-hill-seed-starting-workshop in case you're interested!
I so appreciate the quiet filming, without music to distract. Summer's videos usually have lovely subtle music anyway, but I think the silent background in this video is perfection!
💯💯💯Videos are greatly enhanced by the absence of background music. When there is no background music and the content is interesting, I often watch a complete video. With background music I tend to abandon the video after a very short time.
@@paullaurencesweeney5255 I understand completely. Particularly if the music is inappropriately loud or doesn't even match the content, I will abandon that video!
Hi Summer, this was an interesting tour of the tropical plants at wave hill greenhouse, how lucky those New Yorkers are. Thanks for sharing this visit with us.
When you talk about plants, your disposition-face, smile and everything in between-emanates how I feel when I arrive to my plant-filled home and sunroom filled with cacti. As always, dope as ever.
I just purchased a martianum! The one in this video is such a beautiful specimen, you did a wonderful job! I will definitely aspire to get mine to be at least half as beautiful as yours. 😊
Such a wonderful opportunity to show case rhipsalis in all their glory and you skimmed over them for plants in hundreds of videos. Beautiful greenhouse and 17 min vid...
I would love to visit New York again on my own schedule and at my own pace. Wave Hill would be a top contender of places to go. Thanks for the tour Summer.
I thoroughly enjoy your greenhouse tours. Bing watching everyone of them. I'm also reading Wade Davis' book "Magdalena." My employer is from Columbia and was thrilled I had it. I also recently received your book "How to Make a Plant Love You" and saw that Wade Davis wrote the foreword. Awesome! Am very much liking your book, also.
Hi Summer Rayne. I appreciate the fact that there is this one youtube channel called Summer Rayne Oakes which makes my green heart healthy. Love you and your channel from PH
I live in southern Queensland (Aus.) in the warm humid subtropics , bordering on a tropical climate. Luckily all of those plants grow outdoors here in our gardens . But just a warning for those who live in tropical and subtropical climates regarding the Syngonium podophylum - it grows like a weed and requires constant pruning and thinning out or it takes over everything .
Imagino, quanto tu deve ser feliz, podendo ver e tocar tantas plantas lindas!! Parabéns e obrigada por compartilhar comigo! Moro em Imperatriz, Maranhão, Brasil. Sou tua fã! Um beijo, felicidade!
Hola. I have followed you for a while, I have subscribed to your channel and I can send comments, from the beginning until the end of the report you transfer me to another world, a world full of calm, yesterday I saw the video and you were pointing to a philodendrom and today I have bought, a big hug from the canary islands.
Summer you give life to the talk of plants. Starting in the fall I'll be attending college for horticulture and my goal is to become a botanical horticulturalist
Thank you for showing the Medinilla sedifolia! A few months ago I received a large one in a trade (trailing 6" pot). It was called a lipstick plant but I could never figure it out. I'm so excited to know what it is and to learn more about its care. Thank you!!
I would love for you to do a tour of the Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco! I visited earlier this year but was devastated that they were closed due to the virus. Not sure when I'll be able to go back, if ever.
@@summerrayneoakes i share to my friends in canada and here too in philippines all over the World people love your channel thankyou so much Miss Summer.
Hey Summer, im from Pakistan and we usually use regular river sand , coarse sand, cow manure and occasionally coco coir for planting our plants. Can you please make a video on different soil compositions for houseplants based on the above components, it will be of great help!
Hey summer! I just came across 'Mother the Mountain farm' they have a huge fruit tree orchard! They have kiwis, jackfruit and other exotic fruits. Maybe do a showcase there?
I would like to see a video about 'hybrid plants' because you hear that they can tolerate eg low humidity and low temperture to fit our house climate. I find its not been talked about much and can become quite interesting in the plant world. (Are they better or worst as hybrids).
Hello. When you mentioned plants getting bleached leaves in greenhouses...it then occurred to me that my outdoor lipstick plants could be getting too much light. Can bleached leaves recover (get a shade darker... like before) if I gave it less light exposure? Thanks for your help.
Saya pikir di daerah mu tak ada pandemi korona seperti di Indonesia..😍😷 Di Indonesia semenjak maraknya korona, meningkat pesat penjualan tanaman hias.. Jadi di setiap rumah di Indonesia ramai orang memelihara tanaman hias d rumah.

Beautiful greenhouse and blue sky in the background 💚💙
I love that you use the real names and terms - unapologetically. The Philodendron martianum came from me! Keep it up.

The Jewel Orchid is absolutely radiant in that sunlight.
Truly nothing makes me happier and calmer than watching you walk around beautiful spaces naming the plants

That greenhouse is one of the best ones I've seen. Not too big and well organized. I can't wait to renovate our garage and make it look like that.
Very "human" scale. I agree.
“This room makes me happy” 1:13......... Couldn’t agree with you more!!!!!! This is my drug of choice

Beautiful
Philodendron Gloriosum is so Glorious 😍
Since there are so many plants, does that mean there might be part three, the color was just great and all the plants were lovely.
Unfortunately not. We were crunched with time that day and were on the clock!
This place is such a dream 💚 loved your video ☺️

If you haven’t already done so, maybe you could do a tour of some of the 28 acres of outside plantings this summer.
I love your channel from Philippines fan

When she said '' I don't smell anything right now " I was like oh oh Covid?
Lol
ha. no. but I was hoping the faint lemony smell would be there!
Those syngonium podophyllum look lush. What variety/cultivar are those?
Summer, I don't know if you've seen Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha Nebraska. . Just a suggestion. It's a beautiful place.
I thought I had been there before with my landlady buying some plants.. that was like more than 10 years ago..nice place
I could easily life there, put a matrace on the floor... 🐅🌿
