*Classified and Entry Update remaster question* (part 2) Thanks for all the answers on the last video, I will do it as most of you have said: upload remasters in the middle of new videos. So something like every 2nd-3rd upload will be a Remaster, will also be unlisting the old ones and placing them in a legacy playlist of their own overtime. At times you will get a few Remasters in a row and for when that happens, just take it as me currently working on a big project and can at least do Remasters to hold ya'll over. For those that might be wondering why I'm skipping through the Gameplays when it comes to Remastering, it's pretty simple really, about 90% of the dialogue in those are my legitimate in-game reactions and I would rather keep them that way. Now I have one more question before I release the first remaster, what should I do about the intros? Should they be updated to the latest one or should they be kept to their original intros? I personally think replacing the intro with new ones would be a smarter choice, but wanna hear what ya'll would prefer.
I wanted to come back to this video to check something and yes, the Hydra is undoubtably a precursor to the Stabber vine. Real cool that they’re still using old ideas for modern updates.
its probably the same designer as roller and the lil jellyfish spawner - both a lot creepier than most alien designs and honestly i prefer those more unsettling and alien looks instead of the cartoony glyphids
5:00 Late, but I think the Hydra's been rehashed into the slashing/stabbing plants in the new wooden biome! The stabbing motion and three tentacles all line up and the model is pretty similar!
Some of these are creatures that did probably got redone and reworked to some other enemies we have today. But there are some I like to see come back. Like the jelly spiker. Another long range attacker that does electric damage and is more of a floater instead of the zig zagging patterns of Mactera. Or the hydra that is another planted obstacle that is more melee focused. Some of these ideas could potentially come back. Which I would like to see. Horrax is all about the locals acting as a swarm. To overwhelm you. And having some more enemies can help in that feeling. BTW a enemy that mimics small patches of mineral veins would be an amazing concept.
Interesting to note that the Xynarch concept art was pretty much re-used for Season 3! The infections on the infected bugs look exactly like the concept art for the "boils"...? polyps? whatever you wanna call them.
I think it's interesting that the hydra was clearly split into several creatures: the stab attack was turned into stabber vines. I'll bet the projectile barrage turned into korloks. And the spike shot could be stuff like thorn pots, the cacti that shoot spikes out the side, or just forgotten.
Rewatching this after update 33 and I feel like the Dreadnaught Arbalest is another revival of the acid spitter queen. And the hydra creature in that Twitter clip is eerily similar to the stabber vines in hollow bough
The new Korlok Tyrant Weed boss fight I bet is what the Hydra turned into... although I have yet to fight it. It spawn more and more plants as you fight, akin to a hydra regrowing its heads.
I'm thinking, @@explorianguy, that whatever ranged abilities the Hydra would have had were given to the Korlok, but the Hydra itself was not the basis for the Korlok. After all, the Hydra is back, under a new title, and part of a more widespread Flora...
Some of these plant obstacles look kind of fun to mess with. Like that one where it launches the explosive into the air. That was probably replaced by the new exploding plant but I kind of want to see them back because they just looked fun to mess with. Also the random poison clouds were probably replaced by the poison plants we have now. Which I am a bit more grateful for since that would be less annoying, was probably also replaced with the slowing goo as well.
Fun fact, the dwarf used fist at 7:11 for scale is actually a piece of fanart of a Squat from Warhammer 40k, the Squats were basically space dwarves in 40k
The Hydra enemy's melee attack seems to greatly resemble both the Caretaker's Tentacles and the Hollow Bough's Stabber Vine. Maybe those were the result of it's postponement?
I have seen the explosive spores lately. Also looking at the weapon of the scale dwarf in the monster concept I see my headcannon of the dwarves being 40k squats confirmed.
Whats funny is I can kind of tell what monster each piece of concept art was leading up, except for some of the larger creatures earlier on in the concept piece. Like the sharks are clearly what led to the trawlers.
Hydra technically evolved into the korlok enemy, Hydra's original attack was re-used for the Stabbing Vines... I'll just pretend both of them are Hydras.
Toasted whole wheat bagel with cream cheese, a side of crisp french fries, large cup of cold water, and tumbler of chilled mixed fruit juice, 2 napkins.
Hmmmm. Theory time. Maybe the hydra will be added for update 33? The dev said it was delayed for a long time. Maybe this is it's time? Also it'd be cool if some of those concept arts would be added into the new biomes, or hey, maybe in the future they'll added new planets with entire new enemies?
Ths succ plant might have been able to take a player and randomly deposit them in a different part of the cave, isolating them and leaving them vulnerable for a bit
I think you forgot to mention that the glowing tree (with the purple balls that you can shoot to make them glow) used to be able to spawn in sandblasted corridors
Late to the party I know, but I think that the glyphid varients would have been placed in the radioactive exclusion zone. To show the affect of radiation on them.
I sort of want to see that early grabber concept art. It looks like it belongs to the naedocyte (or however it's spelled) family, and would be interesting to see as not a total incapacitation but just a movement slow or boost depending on whether you want to go towards or away from it.
this game could use one of those scary spider things since horror is the only thing it's missing. hoxxes doesn't really come across as a dangerous mine more an annoying mine that has bugs
I mean I don’t know about you but having a bulk detonator sneak up behind you and just approach you is a shitting yourself moment for me. Probably why they made it into “The Horror” as something apart of the level. Cause those things when you lose track of them can be horrifying.
If they have a toxic zone, the ceiling acid dripping down and poison clouds would make sense. Saw the green color biom in last video, I think it could be interesting, but then again I don't like the razor spaghetti tree. But a new combo of mineral gather biom might be something nice regardless.
Wait, the explosive spores are cut? I still keep seeing them in my game. I tend to find them in the desert area, but I have found them in the volcanic area on one occasion. Odd.
is...is that dwarf in the images there by default or did you add that in? ...because if DRG is using the old Squat picture from GW to base the dwarves.... ....i am a happy ork

I can make you an intro, bro.
@@TheKarmaIdiot I am too proud of this one to change it anytime soon, actual bro
Was looking trough yore old videos and they finally added the hydra aka “staber vine”
I wanted to come back to this video to check something and yes, the Hydra is undoubtably a precursor to the Stabber vine. Real cool that they’re still using old ideas for modern updates.
"Mineral mimic monster"
We need this.
Yes
Yes
Yes
Yes
Yes
nah
Some of these concept arts would turn drg into a pseudo-horror if they were added in the game
Fr, I shouldn’t have watched this at 2 in the morning
That first one in the upper middle is just a straight up Dark Young of Shub-Niggurath.
its probably the same designer as roller and the lil jellyfish spawner - both a lot creepier than most alien designs

yeah, thats what i think too
The Parasite now that Season 3 is out seems slightly familiar.
7:13
That's a bolter.
DRG dwarves are squats confirmed
The left arm looks like a power fist too.
I think that's actually a squat
5:40 and this little interesting thing turned out to be the biggest demonic entity under the name of stingtail
Some of these are creatures that did probably got redone and reworked to some other enemies we have today. But there are some I like to see come back. Like the jelly spiker. That charger acts too much like a overprotective steeve, but sentient. Also good work on the vid!

Yup it is indeed the Hydra, even the file names still refer to it as Hydra I believe.
@@explorianguy oh cool! That was just speculation... I remember looking at that twitter post being like "oh dang, I hope they add this"
Fighting one is pain.
I'm thinking, @@explorianguy, that whatever ranged abilities the Hydra would have had were given to the Korlok, but the Hydra itself was not the basis for the Korlok.

honestly something that slithers through the caves or potentially burrows would be really cool
Fun fact, the dwarf used fist at 7:11 for scale is actually a piece of fanart of a Squat from Warhammer 40k, the Squats were basically space dwarves in 40k
That old desert biome looked great, shame they removed all the flora though.
The Hydra enemy's melee attack seems to greatly resemble both the Caretaker's Tentacles and the Hollow Bough's Stabber Vine. Maybe those were the result of it's postponement?

goddamn, you could make a cool-ass horror game from those unused concepts at the end
Hey hey, that beta Zynarch blister thing looks a lot like the season 3 blister that appears on infected enemies
Thank god some of those creatures didn’t make it into the main game I would freak out too much at the 7:03 monster
nah man, that one is sick as fuck
Piece of me jumped back to life inside when I saw the concept art and they were using a 40k squat as reference XD You earnt a gold star ghost ship.
Hydra's coming back as the stabbing vines
Hydra technically evolved into the korlok enemy, Hydra's original attack was re-used for the Stabbing Vines... I'll just pretend both of them are Hydras.
6:59 that one in the top right is just the Leviathan from Subnautica
I think Acid queen is a perfect boss to go along with the Weed nut boss.
The *what* boss?
Toasted whole wheat bagel with cream cheese, a side of crisp french fries, large cup of cold water, and tumbler of chilled mixed fruit juice, 2 napkins.
Seeing all those worm concept art I would like some of them being used maybe a new boss
Kinda like a random dreadnought encounter but as the worm boss in sandblasted corridors
anyone else notice the dwarf in some of the concept art was holding a bolter from 40k?
Yo! The spikes coming out of the ground seems like the heart stone!
Hmmmm. Theory time.
Maybe the hydra will be added for update 33? The dev said it was delayed for a long time. Maybe this is it's time? Also it'd be cool if some of those concept arts would be added into the new biomes, or hey, maybe in the future they'll added new planets with entire new enemies?
Spoiler: It was added in Update 31
Hey, the hydra made it!
The first two in the outro concept art reel lool like an illustration of Shub-Niggurath and a six-legged, armless Nyarlathotep.
7:27, bottom center kind of looks like the new creature's glowing bits
Yoo the hyrda got added as a stabber vine in hollow bough
Ths succ plant might have been able to take a player and randomly deposit them in a different part of the cave, isolating them and leaving them vulnerable for a bit
I like that the concept art dwarf has a bolter
Wasnt the different amount of legs because they said they would like to work on it so they lost limbs mid combat?
Also I really miss pudo shell and exploding spores
I think you forgot to mention that the glowing tree (with the purple balls that you can shoot to make them glow) used to be able to spawn in sandblasted corridors
The Hydra alien was replaced by the Korlok and the Caretaker!
for anyone who didnt know, fauna means plants and flora means like animals and stuff
The Hydra looks like it was repurposed into the guardian from the rival incursion update.
3:54 maybe that was a pre-animation for Steve?
Потрясающе! Столько всего, хочется все и сразу и что-б уже было в игре :]

7:35 matches quite well an armored headcrab.
It's an oversized dustmite

It seems like the hydra eventually evolved into the Robotic Appendages we've seen the Caretaker's boss fight.
I have seen the sandblasted corridor exploding catapult plant in the game on Xbox on at least up23
The charger sounds like the demon that swims in the sand and grabs you.
Because it's pretty fast.
Or shellback
like how they reused the parasite for the rockpox infection
3:20 this thing looks like a derpling from hell
Wait, the explosive spores are cut?
I still keep seeing them in my game.
I tend to find them in the desert area, but I have found them in the volcanic area on one occasion.
Odd.
They were re-added sometime after this video, their return is just as mysterious as their disappearance
Hmm...
How odd, and thank you for responding!
Drg historian theme as an intro :3
I think the Charger got turned into the Rival Shredder drones.
is...is that dwarf in the images there by default or did you add that in?
...because if DRG is using the old Squat picture from GW to base the dwarves....

That one specific artist did, who is no longer at GSG.
Squats!
@@explorianguy oh, what happened to him?
@@Diego-py3ts I believe he was just a contractor who stuck around for a while, his last creature design is the Silicate Harvester
@@explorianguy Ah, okay. Thanks!
can someone tell me please on how to modify drg so i can use the dev mode? thanks. (version 32 because my game does not update)
A lot of that concept art is genuinely nightmarish.
Did hydra become stabber vines?
I think the Glyphid Drone should return, It'll be the only Glyphid flying creature
I want the mimic so bad
uhm *achktually* it's a *cocoon and not an egg because the dreadnoughts undergo metamorphosis rather than being hatched anew hurdhruhduudrr
I need that Hydra :c
I hope we get a range nano site and mabby the mini nano site warden gives more gameplay for them
Developers really should add more creatures because sometimes caves just feel abondoned/empty
try upping the HAZ lvl
Gnossi 2ric i know but some more variety would be great
