Respect sir! I've seen on other LS builds that the front and rear covers have a centering tool to use when installing the covers so the seals are properly aligned.

I would have definitely soaked the hydraulic rollers b4 putting back in the block and would definitely bought new trays for them too but other then that looks good

I left them soaking over night and I also put new lifter trays . I just didn't show it on the video . But I appreciate the advice 💯💪

I always give the lifters the R.kelley treatment and just give em a golden shower….never had any problems doing it that way…..if you let them soak in oil then they have no way too pump up because they are already full which leaves no room for error, at all…..regardless of who’s at fault…

But either way will work, nothing to lose sleep over, id be more concerned about new lifter trays actually but i see you got that under control too!!!

I hope you checked the clearance between the oil pump pick-up and the pan. The pan I purchased came with a pick-up that was nearly 2 inches from the bottom of the pan. If I had run it as it came, I would have surely starved the bearings for oil. I had to modify the stock pick-up to get it to 3/8" from the bottom of the pan as GM recommends.

Hey tuti. Did gap the rings? Thinking about doing this to LSA my 4.8 but the ring gapping is what’s confusing me.
