Start growing as much food as you can immediately! I'm growing quite a bit but not nearly enough. Potatoes, sweet potatoes, beets, sugar snaps, lettuce, garlic, swiss chard, tomatoes, black berries, blue berries and fruit trees. Adding more and more. Dehydrate fruits. Potatoes can store over winter and you can, can beets and pickles and freeze tons of stuff. My home made spaghetti sauce, frozen hash browns, chunked cantelope, pickles and beets lasted all winter. It was my first time and I'm expanding and building a greenhouse.

Wow! That’s amazing about Quaker Oats. That makes me glad I made a plan to retire and grow my own food. People ask me,”Why don’t you go on a trip!” I don’t need to. I don’t really want to. I have plenty to keep me busy here at home and in my garden. I’m not bored.

You should do your research and see what testing methods that environmental group is using? If you are a doctor you can pay science to give you whatever results you want. This environmental group needed to be relevant and with this supposed bombshell they are. There is a money trail on both sides. I farm oats in Canada I have never used this product or am not aware of anyone that has. Typically we are dry up here and our crops don't grow thick enough or heavy enough to warrant its use. Now Europe on the other hand where the chemical came from uses it multiple times a year because their weather and better soil produces much heavier crops. The US imports from Canada and Europe. If you want to do your homework go after the European imports and as far as glyphosate we have been signing affidavits for years saying we aren't using it on oats.

That's the spoof the EWG is using in this "study". If you can find a copy you should read through it and you'll see the EWG admits Choromaquat (sp) was found in concentrations far, far below any harmful level, but they post a video stating that its at some 'panic mode' level. Also note that 'Dr" Paula Ruffin is not a true medical doctor, but a chiropractor, not who I'd listen to for nutritional advice.

Nonsense it’s not a pesticide it’s a chemical to help grains like oats develop into stronger plants. This makes the grains more productive plants and reduce the amount of needed pesticide and herbicides.
