Wow, such an information-packed lesson! In the past, I would see those "a"s at times and not understand that they were part of the verb structure.
It happens a lot 😅But hey, now you know that those 'a' are part of the phrase

Would you say this is more formal Spanish or a certain type of Spanish like Mexican ?
These are standard expressions we all Spanish speakers use :)
Can these variations be used with haber?
Like we had just.
Or is that just the present tense? Acabamos de escuchar al presidente.
We had just heard the president. (Tengo razón?)
I feel like escuchar in this case would be listened to. Not heard.

Toca is equal to seguir. Whwn used with an infinitive right?
Toca trabajar para ganar dinero.
Hay que trabajar para pagar las deudas.

Jajajajajaja amé el último ejemplo 🤣"sigo trabajando a pesar de que no quiero". Tocar + infinitive is not exactly like 'seguir', it's more like "it's time to" so we use it to talk about things are due and must be done. Say we arrive at the office and I want to know what we need to work on, I could say "¿qué toca hacer hoy?". 'Seguir' implies that you continue working on those task, meaning you already started them.
