im using western digital green 2TB for my pc gaming .. and its fine.. question which is faster in loading and gaming green or purple?
Why does the 4tb o speed??? Is there some reason for that 🤔..?

you can but it is not really worth the money if they are at standard RRP

not much, the drive will still work fine in your pc
Its okay for storage or game drive but not for System drive bcus low random read/write

I have a 2tb that records 24 hrs a day but last for 6 days am looking to upgrade possible to a 4tb how many days would I get or is it better with a 8 tb thanks
The more space the more time you can record but will depend on how much you want to spend as for how long it records it will come down to the bitrate of the video. but if 2TB is 6 days 4Tb most likely will be 12 days
Can i use this hdd as a secondary storage for games and stuff?
Hi, all NAS WD reds are about 50 % extra cost where i live compared to WD Purple. Do you think WD Purple would suit my NAS needs. I only need single drive, home nas. So not looking for something expensive. Going to playback 4k videos mostly from it.
Do you think this would suite the needs, currently using a 2.5 inch WD Blue and its serving me fine (5400 RPM)
I know this is late but i accidentally bought a purple one because I'm new to all this stuff and i was scared that it might break everything i made,

it can work no problems but i would not go out and buy one just for gaming, a wd blue or black would be better suited
i want something that's good for gaming and streaming
wd black is a good option, high performance for a HDD and decent price
