    I’ve been a huge fan of David since probably 2001, this program and him demonstrating only makes me appreciate him more! He is extraordinary and one of a kind. Blessed

    YES!!! HE USED THE WORD “ PLACEMENT”!
    That’s exactly what I’ve been talking about where are you place the note in the nasal register in the nasal cavities higher up literally in your face and not lower down and even though it is a micro measurement of difference yes there is a brighter sound in the second scale that he did.

    My favorite series continues…. Would love to have seen your face as he just ran up to a C to show variety.
    Love how he shows the color of his voice with such a subtle change in placement. Incredible. He’s such a master. We all should experiment with our voices to find these nuggets of awesomeness.
    DP is the best male vocalist ever.

    Dear NYVC, could you give some advice on how to be sure that your soft palate is lowered and is lowered to a good enough degree? How can I feel that?
    And also (or, rather, first of all) what exactly can I do to drop my soft palate in singing?

      I would say that it's nothing you can feel, but only hear. (Record yourself).

    Hi could someone help me out, I did not get it. So on the high note you lift the soft pallet and it helps to get more or less nasal resonance?

      @ParadNorthProd 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The singer was confused, but Justin corrected him. To get more "ring", which means more nasal resonance, you need to slightly drop your soft palate so some of the sound resonates in the nasal cavity.

    I bet you can't do Atif Aslam's voice...
    (And if you want to do it then search for the song name 'Aadat' by Atif Aslam )..
