I was hesitant to see your point at first, but hearing you talk about it helped me understand what you are trying to accomplish. A society where everyone has a limited number of people they actually view as people, the rest are just tools they treat as if they were just that, service workers, custodians, etc. Not everyone is like this, some are worse than others, but it is certainly a trend that modern society has brought along.

My 2 year old son saw Matthew's live performance in union squire.
Since then son started imitating Matthew's "POOO" noise whenever he wants.
My wife and I are not too happy about it however I liked his energy and frankness.
He is one of the rare performer and I wish his success.

Fundamentally this makes sense, but we have to find a happy medium. I do agree that community and starting local is how you get things done. People in NYC (and other big cities) are disconnected from one another more so than most other places in the world. For sure the disorders and things are mostly an effect of society and them feeling ostracized is just a product of how the world moves around them. Its starts within yourself but it sure makes it easier if others participate (in treating one another kindly)
