    Great comments Marc, Regardint the 1 in the second last position. I think it is race efficient to make the crossover and if you dont get hit to be able to take checkers out sooner.
    Also it makes his 3s bad (except for 13,33 and 43) since he cant lift the midtpoint.

    These are the videos I have been looking for - live game situations explained. Please keep doing this more!

    I'm quite sure, at around 20:00, that computer evaluates one crossover in a close race (6 pips ahead) much higher than sparing one extra shot (15vs14) even if it doubles the 3. Plus, the additional hit is a combined one that left most likely 1-2 Blots in the inner board

    Great tips and I appreciate the free video. As pretty as you are, Mark, I would much rather the game boards take up the whole screen.

    It would have been nice to see the board in FULL frame when slowing the blunder move and the correct move.

    19:27 My auto play would also be 16/15. The idea behind 7/6 must be not to make your opponent's small numbers good when the race is close.

      i wondered if it was for the race advantage which is bound to happen should we get away with the blot on 16point.

    Unless I missed something, I believe Marc misspoke, Around the 11:20 point after he said you need to be up at least 14 pips, he then said Wilson was up 28 pips which is incorrect.

      @divadeiwob 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You're right, Wilson was up just 1 point

    Great presentation as usual but ... the message loses something due to the visuals being unclear. Please keep up the good work.

    7 to 6 on the last blunder i presume because it will become a race and having the extra man in gives race advantage. But that sounds like i know more than you which is so far from the truth because this video was superb in clarifying unspoken ideas. loved all of it!

      I was thinking the same. It's more efficient because you are getting a cross over

    The application has, among other things, one significant drawback. I cannot adjust the rate at which I play. The app lets me choose the minimum that will be on the table. But the maximum bet is not regulated in any way. With a total pot of 30k coins, I might get a table with 10k coins. Naturally, with such bankroll management, I will ultimately strive for zero. Fix this please

    18:00 why isn't it better to move the back checker with the 1 to duplicate the es since then he'll need 3s to hit and cover his inner blot? The best move makes 3s AND 4s good for him

    Around the 20:00 mark, could it be that the computer actually wants blue to hit the remaining checker on the 16 so that white has a chance to hit the blots in white's home board? Moving to 15 would reduce those chances. Only 43 and 42 would hit and cover for blue. Failing that, white would have 20 shots to hit from the bar thereby closing blue out? Furthermore, white would have the chance to pick up the remaining blue blots.

    Hi Marc, I haven't been able to play for quite a few days on backgammon galaxy: the play button does nothing?

      It's most likely an issue with your browser: try using a different browser to check. If it then works, clear cookies for the Galaxy website on the original browser.

      @@bennemann I have tried another computer, both using safari and chrome on both, but the play button is still doing nothing. Sometimes the button is active and a little hand shows when I hover on it, but clicking does nothing? Is it because I am not a subscriber and am playing for free?
