On the 4th of October 1957, my late wife's class was interrupted by the news that a satellite had been launched into orbit.No-one in the room was disappointed or frightened to hear that it had been done by "the enemy" - every one of them was simply delighted to hear that it had been done by the human race.

Today is 12th of April, 2022. 61 years ago on this day, a man by the name of Yuri Gagarin, with the help of USSR space program, has become the first man to leave the atmosphere of Earth and enter Cosmos. In the Vostok capsule he circled around the planet’s orbit and returned back, setting a monumental achievement in human history. This event became one of the checkpoints in the space race and, of course, has inspired many, myself included. What I want to say, is that we all should remember what people were able to achieve that day. I want all of the people reading this, to remember time to time what the exploration of cosmos has given us - a cause. A cause greater than any war, a cause that united us and will unite us. I want you to remember this achievement as not one of USSR, Russia, of any country really, but one of humanity as a whole. This day, this achievement should serve as a reminder of what has already been done, and what can be done.
Не дайте разборкам и войнам разрушить, что построили наши предки.
Слава тем, кто смотрел, смотрит, и будет смотреть ввысь!

Because in general, Russia (the USSR) did not conduct propaganda at the level of feature films like: "Russians will come and rape you, your wife, your dog and a tree near the house because they are COMMUNISTS!!! and Russians." as a result, the inhabitants of the USSR saw in the inhabitants of the West victims of capital, and in russians and social. Block in general, the West saw a multi-million zone of maniacs only wanting to kill the population of some small town, such as Rock-springs . And as a result, when the United States could not become the first in space, did not send 1 person into space, the population thought that EVERYTHING! They are finished, now the fucking commi will jump from their companion directly into the cities and will kill, rape and take their lives!!! Aaaaaaa!!!!!!!

As an American, I think we should give the Soviets more credit for what they did in Space. Besides, they did a lot more space exploration than we did, while WE were busy being the so-called “Peacemakers” (Yes I know we did space exploration but still), even though we and the Soviets nearly made the Human population go extinct by making the foolish decision to do a nuclear war against each other, which didn’t happen thankfully because we and they realized that the earth will cease to exist. Anyways, even the (sadly forgotten in Western culture) legend himself, Yuri Gagarin deserves at least more credit for his amazing career in space than just Neil Armstrong! (And yet, we give Neil credit more than Gagarin just because he went to the moon first) He was crazy enough, but in a good way to fly around space so many times, the first would be 109 minutes. It’s still sad that we lost him so early..

Sometimes its like I miss the USSR even when I've never ever lived in there, not because of the government itself, but because the people actually had a pure idea to follow, just by working together, socialism might not be the best way to get into communism, but maybe one day, we can work together and be proud to call yourself part of Humanity

Western capitalism works ok as it is reasonably resistant to corruption and is reasonably stable but isn’t a perfect system by any means
