This is very special. As a 70 yr old blues guitarist, I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a blues video this much. Thank you Eric and the Lovell sisters, you are good individually, but sublime together!
I’m 72 and have been a blues fan for a long time, these guys are why I enjoy it. Long live Eric Gales and the Lowell sisters.

@@91skrrttt - I'm 74 and I had a great run in the studios of LA during the 60s and 70s but watching cats like Eric Gales makes me feel like someone who witnessed the first flight of the Wright Bros and then lived to see fighter jets take off. He is simply fu**Ing amazing. Like the Olympics, every year they get younger and faster and jump higher .. cats like Gales have moved the ball way the fu*k down the field since I was active. Sorta takes the sting out of retirement. LMAO

The woman on slide guitar makes my heart go crazy. She is so smooth and on time. Absolutely phenomenal.
Megan has really come into her own. Her call and response with Eric Gale is so cool. At the 7:00 mark or so she really gets into a great grove. Plus she’s undeniably cute!

The music business is a crazy thing. Sometimes, the smallest thing can help a band "make it big". EG is a superstar among guitar & blues guitar fans. If he had better vocals, he very well could be more marketable. I'd love to see him in a band where he just plays guitar. Kinda like Eddie Van Halen.
Oh, also on another note the Fender Strat sounds much better than those Magneto guitars...just saying.
I think Eric finally found hes nemesis, a gal playing Lapsteel..... wow, truly amazing to watch. Cudos to all on stage, specially Megan who is a beast on slide, shes so cool and talented.

I love how Megan just plays off of him, the whole thing is improvised. It's just skill. You can see her just watching... then matching... then holy shit! And suddenly, the band is playing is following her. Megan is a straight badass!

I agree, I think Rebecca has the most beautiful voice, not as edgy.
Just wish her guitar would have been able to be heard, as she obviously is having problems getting the volume out of it, in the beginning she goes back to the amp and her board several times, and she is a really good player as well.
Rebecca is an excellent Mandolin player .
This is the best thing I've heard lately. Eric is just great. In fact, he is the best guitar player in the world today. I'm blown away by his game. Well, the cover is just a masterpiece performed by these ladies and this virtuoso. Oh, you can listen to forever.❤❤❤

Eric Gales is freaking amazing. He has a way like all the greats to make you feel the notes he plays, not just listen to them. This combo with Larkin Poe... I just can't explain the great feeling I got from this. So much so that I closed my eyes and just felt the song. Great Blues will do that. After all, Blues speaks to the mind and soul.
...I have said this often. When you can feel the music creeping thru your body, and moving on to the ppl next to you, thru the crowd, on the water and up to the stars...yeah. Just yeah, play it, please, all..nite..looong.

I don't consider myself a spiritual person, but even I have to admit this was a spiritual experience.
The sound of Eric's Strat through the DV Mark amp is probably the sweetest guitar sound I've ever heard, comparable to Dave Gilmour's black Strat of the Ummagumma period. And by God, Megan's playing is heavenly.
Is he playin thru that on this set?? Very curious on that amp. Plus Whoever recrded this deserves mad applause cuz its incred sound quality

Eric Gales is playing that guitar left handed... AND UPSIDE DOWN!!!!! My daughter is left handed and learned the bass with a left handed bass, deep string up, not deep string down on a guitar like this... WOW!!!!!
I had never heard of Larkin Poe but saw them open for Bob Seger in Fort Wayne IN around 2019 or 18, after the 1st couple of songs I realized that these sisters had the sauce in them and would go a long way playing the blues. I was especially captivated with the way one of them ( sorry don't know their names) played the slide guitar. That was one of those openers that you thought no way, I didn't expect that. Seger was really enjoyable played most of the big songs, had a little trouble with congestion in his throat but he still made it great. Picked up a lone seat that night and was about 30 feet from the stage on the cheap. That was a great night of music!

Eric Gales is a Living Legend. If you have never seen him Live, you are missing out on an incredible experience. I had the honor last year, and I hope to again soon. He truly sets the Standard for Blues guitarists today.
It truly is a moving experience. I saw him playing a Telecaster unaccompanied at a small venue once as a one man act, and I’ve never cried like that before. It was just raw truth. He has something, a certain ferocity, in his playing that is simply not mortal. You get an idea of it by watching amazing performances captured on video like this, but it is truly a different experience live. Just biblical and completely overwhelming

Been watching Eric gales from the beginning , got to see him twice early on in his career ,, he has always been a Monster Guitarist IMO ,and just keeps getting better with age ! Just Discovered Larkin Poe a couple years ago and got to see them Live and meet them after the show , what a absolute pleasure these girls are both as people and musicians , the way they blend in the covers with their own music is beyond awesome ! The level of talent they exude definitely reflects the years they have dedicated themselves to their craft ! To see them deservedly being appreciated by veterans in the business puts the icing on the cake ! Rock on !

Just discovered this guy last night on the Gas Monkey Cafe show in Dallas and it seems every show I've watched thus far is just packed with energy and emotion. Then him playing a right handed guitar with traditional string orientation is just insane.
