Charley's combination of Gulf Coast rhythm & blues and traditional country music along with his fully-realized vocal delivery has led to this timely creative output. Enjoy and share!

The music is just so heartfelt and rich, it's hard to listen to much else. And the videos/short films, are really evocative. He's making all the right choices, seems to me. And btw, I don't listen to hardly any C&W.
He's all I listen to right now. It's been years. He digs deep into the music. My type of person. The sauce is having to sing to eat and getting the blues he didn't ask for. So he's well seasoning like Creole food. Listen to me. The real deal. He's outstanding of several levels. His band is perfection and organically built.

He's not Hank, Not George or Merle, not Lefty or Buck, not Johnny or even 1970's The Killer, he ain't even Gram! Faron Young is jealous in his grave. He's his own unique thing and he's rockin' the 2020's in mid 20th century style. It's like he's taking it all and putting it together for the first time. Beautiful man. If he doesn't make you miss your baby, wreck your religion and give you hope you've got no heart.

My favorite album, of his.
I saw Mr. Crockett in November live in Seattle. Hands down one of the best live performances I seen since the Foo Fighters and Dave Matthew’s back in 2015. Love his music, and I wish they would play it on the radio but they don’t, that’s why I quit listening to radio and stream Spotify
The guitarist for Foo Fighters, Chris Shiflett, has a country band side project and an awesome podcast Walking The Floor. Good stuff.

so far charley has put new orleans music into modern context through streaming, he truly is genre bending, and too me the only way to put it is new orleans/west texas sound, because its not just blues, not just country or soul, its an amalgamation of all of them

This was the first CD I purchased in awhile. The album spoke to me and I just knew I had to support Mr. Crockett, an amazing artist.
I was introduced to you by my boss back in February and I can’t get enough. Literally my favorite artist right now 😍 Fool somebody else has been on repeat every day since it came out!!
He's playing my town on Sunday night, I will be there!

That's absolutely amazing record from the first track to the last, I love that record
ngl i found some of his songs and didn't think anything of them didn't bother saving them would see them suggested and who would listen to them every now but as soon as i heard this album i've been hooked i've listened to the album countless times the pacing and flow of it is great and obvs the songs are amazing. I'm even going back and listening to the other songs of his i first listened to and i'm loving them and not quite sure why they didn't click before. can't wait to see where he goes from here and would 100% recommend giving the album and his other songs a listen.

Listened to the album and knew I liked him. Got to catch him live in Cedar Park this weekend and learned that I LOVE him. What a GREAT show! Plan to see him live every chance I get.
Love his music.. It reminds me of listening to records with my grandmother.. She had like 250 country albums from the 50s to the 80s .. I relate to his music through my life of work on the road , Hard work .. job after job .. never stop even when it all falls apart . Charlie understands the dark side if life .
My favorite country-album of 2020, it's so powerful and love every track on it. Don't Cry, Lily My Dear and Paint It Blue are the favorites at the moment. Want to see Charley live! What a party that must be 😄

I don't care WHAT they call it. The music is great. It's different, but in a good way. It's fresh and not the same old rehashed bullshit. Whatever THEY are telling Charley is motivating him. They say, that won't work. That's no good. He does it anyway and is successful. I can't get enough of it. THEY aren't always right. Charley's shows for later this summer are already mostly sold out. Obviously, he's doing something right. He's connecting with people. My advise? Follow your heart. THEY don't know your heart. Jack needs to restart his podcast. First guest should be Charley.
