Ali, you are amazing. I can't believe you haven't come up on my feed or in my searches for Vegan before. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the simple "dump and go" easy recipes. And your formatting and recipes are easy to follow. I love your hubby waving and the kids' comments in the background too. How fun! Thank you. New subscriber and liker here. 🥰
I love your recipes and videos! Very excited you've added more crockpot recipes. To keep your carrots fresher you need to store them in a little water!
I am not Vegan, but literally just found this video. I have always wanted to do a meatless meal at least 1x a week, but was at a loss of what to make. I just subscribed so I have no excuse now. ☺️
You and THE HAI PATH both have inspired me to do a crock pot soup...I also have that choppper and used it this morning! Just got back from the market... fire roasted tomatoes, water, bouillon-like yours, mushrooms, carrots, onions, celery, yellow squash, white beans, corn, kale, and itty bitty macaroni! And a special blend by Trader Joe’s…ITALIAN STYLE SOFFRITTO SEASONING BLEND! Amazing! My soup is in, 8 hours...slow...dinner will be dislish. What I love most about your channel is that you keep it so real. Your taste testers are adorable! Happy Healthy New Year 🎆 to you and your beautiful family of five kiddos!
PS: You and The Hai Path have so much in common...she has 6 little kiddos and a husband with auto immune disease and I am pretty sure why her family went plant based as well.
Just made the pasta dish; it's a winner! We added shredded artichoke hearts . The dish was so creamy and cozy. Love your recipes and videos. Thank you.
Another awesome video from the beautiful Ali. 3 Yummy 😋 vegan crock pot meals (I would probably make them in my instant pot using the slow cooker program). Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Ali & family.
Hi, I use canned pinto beans with the liquid in the can and put in a pan. No need to add broth. I chop onion and fresh garlic. Let it simmer with lid on for about an hour or an hour and a half, making the beans tender and creamy tasting. Then take lid off, and let the liquid simmer until its the thickness you want. After simmering for the hour or so you can smash some of the beans to make it thicker I suppose you could do this in a crock pot too. It's sooo good! I make bean burritos with them.
I just tried the pasta with white beans. At 1.5 hours the pasta wasn't cooked so I let it go another half hour. I think I overcooked it. The flavour of the dish was good but the pasta was mushy and starchy. The kids didn't like the texture of it. I think next time I will just make it on the stovetop and cook the pasta separately to add to recipe. Should actually take less than an hour to make and the pasta won't get mushy or starchy.
For that first recipe, i recommend not draining your beans and using less broth. Canned bean juice has a lot of starch and will thicken whatever soup you are putting it in. I almost never drain my canned beans!
I think you added too much water I like this type of meal thicker like a stew especially when you put in beans. Also I'm a single person and that recipe would feed me for months lol. Do you have a website where I could designate serving size?
My noodles disintegrated! And I am going to go ahead and officially call it.... I hate the veggie broth..... I've cooked with it so many times and just had to suffer through it..... I'm not going to give up though .... I'm going to continue trying to cook healthy lol
Cook the pasta separately. I'm 100% Italian, and we never cook pasta with other ingredients. It's a disgrace in our Italian cuisine. I know these recipes are meant to be quick , but you also want to enjoy the actual texture of well cooked or al dente pasta .
Love the dump and go videos. I find the older I get, I seek quick and easy meals. Thank you.
Thank you. I love the recipe using dried beans - I hope that you continue sharing more of these.
I would recommend that you rinse your dry printo beans before putting them in the crockpot.
I thought she said she used canned.
She used dried beans.
I agree!
The last meal had dry beans@@dkendrafrancesco7270
She used canned!
I'll give these a try in my Instant Pot.
I want to do that too! How do you adjust the cooking time for the instapot?

Really want to try the second one. I have everything to do it. Your channel is where I learned about nutritional yeast.
I like to use my Instant pot. Probably these recipes would work.
Same here
It will work. Any pot will do the trick, but the crock pot does not require monitoring, and plain pot on stove top requires monitoring (of course).

These all look great. 😋

Thank you, these are great. Throw it in and have it ready by dinner.
I do enjoy your recipes, but I would enjoy them more if your blog had a printing option!
Thank you look so good can’t wait to try
Lime juice would have been amazing in the taco soup. 🍋🟩
Could you link your can opener? You've mentioned it & I reeeeeeally need one. Thanks!
How would you make the pasta dish in the instant pot? How much time do you think? On high pressure? Would you adjust the water?
Do you use vegan cheese ? Any brands you like?
Hello, I made the recipe, but my tofu curdled, I didn't use the frozen corn. Maybe we need to let it cool some before adding it.
I would prefer to do a tofu cream blob at the end in individual bowls.
Great recoped. I would use way less salt in these recipes..
I would recommend soaking the beans or boiling them first to get rid of the lectins.
Yummo
I’m surprised the acid in the pico doesn’t retard the cooking/softening of the beans.
Can I use cans of pinto beans instead of the dry pinto beans?
You could. You would have to adjust the recipe. Wouldn't need all that water, already cooked so would be cooked on low and not very long.

@ thank you so much. I will follow your recipe. Have a happy and healthy New Year.
what size is your crock pot, mine is a 4qt, would I need to just halve the ingredients??

What is the brown ingredient in the glass jar I couldn't figure out what you said?
Bouillon
Better Than Bouillon. There are multiple vegan options.
I think you added too much water I like this type of meal thicker like a stew especially when you put in beans. Also I'm a single person and that recipe would feed me for months lol. Do you have a website where I could designate serving size?
Oh yeah, the last recipe was dried beans. So I would have rinsed them first.. Good idea with the salsa..
❤
Store your carrots in water in the fridge they won’t turn white
And if they do turn white, you can rinse in water before putting in a bag/container for lunch.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

It’s brutal right? It’s been two years and my taste buds are still not on board lol
Try the Better Than Bouillon No Chicken broth and see if that helps. My husband likes the No Chik’n bouillon cubes. We get those at Natural Grocers.

@@MrJesse3030 Totally on board with you on that one !!! Same here ...😱😱😱
When cooking dried Beans, if you bringbyour luquid to a boil and add it, beans will be creamier
