The demilich tabaxi is fantastic! What a fun alternative to just a human skull.
The way they did the Aurumach is just too cool. A close second goes to the Chef Vargouille just for comedic value. I also like the tabaxi demilich and the slot machine modron.
I was really excited for this set simply bc of all the Modrons! Particularly the slot machine! But I think I’m most excited for the Cranium Rats in Disguise. 😅

Wow .. a great set and a big mahalo for unboxing a brick for us! There a few great minis in this set... but like you I like bears (wink) ... so I have to say the Warden Archon is my fav. Can't wait to watch your next video!!
Love the Tabaxi Demilich. The possibility of a Tabaxi Lich brings up sooo many ideas.
The warden archon is painted really well!
I gotta say, it’s hard to pick just one mini that really caught my eye but the constructs always are really cool, though that one that had detached arms was really cool. Love that sleek design and love how funny the Modron Slot Machine is. Makes me wonder how the heck they got modified for that function.
Loved the modron variety. Very cool selection there.
I must say I love the Maelephant. They look so much unlike anything else in DnD. And a Large mini is a good mini

The Tabaxi Demilich is my favorite from this set I already have a Tabaxi noble and Lich from Twin Goddess miniatures so really cool to have him in in various stages of lichdom.
Warden Archon is definitely my favorite. I’d make them a werebear cleric in Greyhawk. Can’t wait for the next D&L review! I found their first ever kickstarter from you years ago and I’ve been with them ever since. Repainted caves-yes!
I think the Kolyarut is great, big General Greivous vibes!!! The Maelephants are great too!
The aurumach is definitely my favorite due to the floating arms! But the octon is sooooo cute!
I love all the drones tri, mono, duo! Their lore is so interesting to me plenty of storytelling potential!
The Tabaxi Demolich and Wardon Archon are awesome. We just love minis like the sunflies, and we are glad to see monsters from Minsc and Boo's Journal Of Villainy.
Also, the slot machine Modron is next level.
My favorite is probably the bodyguard . Though it’s a tough choice.

The Baernaloth is my favorite you pulled. It looks like the perfect fiend to fight after negotiations break down.
I have 2 favs , the tabaxi demilich , and the baernaloth. Both are so unique . the Baernaloth can even be used as an Ice devil/demon .

The Aurumach has a really unique arm support.
I have been waiting for this video to hit youtube! Thanks a lot! As much as Planescape is my favourite setting, and I do love all the minis, there are several factors that leave me disappointed in this set:
-Terrible idea to only have 6 Large Uncommons, not to mention 2 of those are Maelephants (Shemeshka's Bodyguard is one too). There were ample choices to include some Large Demons or Devils, or creatures like the Equinal and Nonaton and Septon.
-Very bad rarity choices. The around CR19 Aurumach and Baernaloth that are solitary creatures are Uncommons, and the low CR Decaton and Ettin are Rares? Same goes for the smaller minis - the Hound Archon should have been a Common, as did the Monodrone, Kolyraut a Rare (there is only 1 in existence usually). The Deva base... erm Spireball player should be a rare for such a specific mini. The Darkweaver - a solitary, powerful creature - is a common?
-No Dabus, Common Mercykillers, Dustmen? No Guvners (Fraternity of Order) bigwigs in their silly hats? Several Factols appear in the adventure and have artwork, not to mention famous Sigil NPCs too. I wish we could have gotten them.
-Seriously, no Lady of Pain mini at all?
-The designs are all great, I want as many of the Modrons as possible. The three Demodand types are also awesome, and I have waited ages to get Guardinals and Archons again, the minis are excellent representation of the art for the most part. I am also super happy to finally get a non-Rare Tridrone!
I am hopeful that either the Vecna adventure, or the 2025 sourcebooks will have more Planescape creatures that would warrant a second miniature set where these missing minis could be released... and some of the rarities fixed. I mean, as someone who wants more than one Decaton it will be a tough job locating them for a good price since they are Rare, but I will be swamped by much higher level Octons I won't need that many of.
Filmed it before vacation but didn't have time to edit it. As you can imagine, these unboxing videos take awhile to edit properly. I'll save my full set thoughts for that video, but I definitely feel you with your criticisms of the set. There are a lot of weird omissions in the set. Wouldn't mind a premium Lady of Pain mini to go along with the set. Curious if we're going to see more Planescape minis in the future, and I'm dying to get my hands on the Vecna book and set. I think it's the most excited I've been for a D&D book in awhile.
@@TheGallantGoblin Yes - if they went through the trouble of making a Characters set, why not include some actual characters in that? Only Shemeshka, Morte and Fell in that set are NPCs, the rest are generic faction members (and a Guardinal). Feels like a miss that we only have the Musteval there. I'd love to get more of that adorable mousey dude! It is possible some of the minis were cut from the set to be moved to the Vecna - Eve of Ruin set. We do know a regular (not dressed) Eater of Thought was supposed to be in the set, there is a render of it on the back of the Limited Edition set!
Oh same as you, I wish I could be Todd Kenreck who in the latest WotC interview says he read the whole adventure now and is all amazed by it. The preview images show a LOT of classic characters, locations, items and creatures returning -Lord Soth, Mordenkainen, Tasha, Alustriel, Strahd, Acererak, Miska the Wolf Spider, the Rod of Seven Parts... I am considering to preorder it, I am so excited about the story and lore! And it is indeed possible the Lady of Pain will be in that book and assist you. She has a quite big beef with Vecna, for sure, given how he was the only god ever to make it into Sigil (on a technicality - he was not yet a god when he arrived).
The Baernaloth is absolutely sinister in lore and for its statblock! It would make a fantastic advisor or 2nd on command for the Big Bad Evil Guy!
Most excited for the Tabaxi Demilich!! Cool set, not into Modrons much myself, but happy for all who are! Great set for them :)
I think the duodrone is pretty cool, definitely a wonky looking guy
The Warden Archon is my favorite. I like the paint on it. The Ettin Warlord is a close second though. It looks really cool with that armor!

Surprisingly for me the Aurumach was my favorite! I don't know what use I'd have for it but I love the dislocated arms from the shoulders and how it appears to be floating with the magic effect being what's keeping it up. A well done mini for sure!
The Ettin Warlord is my favorite from the video, But I LOVE Modrons!
I have to say the ones I want the most are the Demilich and the Baernaloth.
The aurumach is beautiful but the Kelubar Demodand would work nice as some sort of demon or even the dragonflesh golem from Tome of Foes 2!

I do love the Warden Archon, they look so stern but yet I still want to pet those little ears. Not surprised the tabaxi demilich remains a favorite though, totally a top tier mini.

That Demilich is awesome! I like that we are seeing different types of monsters such as the Dwarven Helmed Horror from the Phandelver set.

07:16 - Surprisingly, there is no art in the book of the Tabaxi Demilich. You encounter him pretty early in the adventure, in the Mortuary, he is one of the Dustmen and is stuck writing euology poems for the dead - you need to help him come up with good rhymes. :D
Might be one of those circumstances when art was commissioned but not included in the final book for one reason or another. It's rare for WizKids to create minis when there isn't an art reference.
@@TheGallantGoblin Yes, most likely so. I was a bit disappointed that unlike a lot of recent D&D books, Planescape did not include any collection of sketches and not included art at the end, like Bigby Present: Glory of the Giants, or Rage of Demons did.

Love that the vargouille has a chef’s hat and would probably make a one shot based on chef Boyardee just for it but my fav will have to be the one I think I could get the most use out of and that would be the baernaloth not even going into lore and just based on appearance it’s the stereotypical evil goat headed demon tho it is closely followed by the cranium rats could be regular rats could be part of a group that forms to be a mob boss fo a city’s criminal underground are they the escaped experiments/spies of a nearby mind flayer hive or all that at once
