I have a 2002 ES300 with 168k miles. Changed out the struts last summer after the rear ones were leaking. Drives like new now and the rear end sits up High like it was designed. Fit and finish is unparalleled, build quality is amazing, not a creak or rattle anywhere
I own a GS350 f sport and I cannot agree more with what Matt said. Everything he said took the words right out of my mouth. I have about 7500 miles on mine and all of those miles were enjoyed immensely! Great review as always Matt, keep up the great work! Anyone with questions feel free to ask!
I test drove this car a few months back and I can confirm that the car is incredibly easy to drive and the visibility is great for a coupe. Only thing I didn't like so much was that the seats felt too firm for my personal taste but like Matt said, they do hold you in place quite well. Also, the power is plentiful, but it's nothing overly impressive. Again, personal taste and opinion. Another great review, Matt!
I actually thought it looked more bland and less sleek in person. I felt the q60 looked better in person than in pics - it’s sleeker, sportier and classier simultaneously than the rc. On the other hand, it has the now questionable Nissan reliability.... sigh.... still looking for my next car.
@@datacipher I was looking at the q60 but there’s less features, the gauges look ugly, and the screens suck. Not saying the screen in the Lexus IS much better but the gauge is much nicer. My biggest gripe with the q60 when driving it is the steering feel, you get almost zero feedback from the wheels to the steering wheel, feels super weird

Lexus and Infiniti are the most reliable luxury cars. I will never understand how these crappy german engineers cant seem to find a way to do the same with the Benz and Bimmers.
Bo Al-sharef why would they make them more reliable when people keep buying them regardless of how unreliable they are, they make even more money at the dealership for repairs
I drove one of these this summer. It looks SO much better in person (looks great here too) and for the few hours that I had it, everyone was staring. It's a great car.
People need to stop reviewing this car as sports car. It is Grand Touring Car. Performance wise it has enough to put a smile on your face and be a daily driver that has Toyota reliability. You're a moron. First of all, no one said this car is in the same class as a Porsche or BMW M3. BMW hasn't built a good 3 Series since the e90 Era. Audi A4 are overrated and have numb steering. Mercedes are a snooze-fest ( even the E350 Sport Sedan ) and my 2013 G37x is more visceral and playful than all those cars I mentioned, combined. The IS Series F Sport cars are finally(!) showing the World that Lexus CAN build a wonderful Sport Sedan that is as good or better than the Germans. Class dismissed...
Great review Matt. Nice to see Lexus making fun cars again. The only real disappointment I find with the current RC350 is that the performance does not come near the other cars in this segment (440i, S4 etc). To much weight for that engine. Now the RC-F is another story.
+Nick Murray Thanks Nick! Yeah I think the RC350 is still more for the person that wants a stylish and sporty coupe, but not the absolute best performance. Like you said, that's what the RC-F is for.
+Nick Murray it isn't weird how slow they made the car, Lexus just doesn't go all in for performance...even something like the LFA wasn't even considered fast for its class. If you want all out performance go for an Audi or BMW but if you want a little more refinement/daily drivability and proven tech for good reliability (traditional NA V6/V8, torque converter auto, proven platforms) then the Lexus is the way to go. Most potential owners of cars in that class especially in the US are not going to be exploiting anywhere near the handling and power limits of them, so for the public roads daily drivability and reliability should probably be bigger factors to consider.
Perfect blend of sportiness and luxury on a daily car...just nailed it Matt! I picked up my RC 350 Fsport on Monday. And I'm enjoying every minute when I drive it. Great car and lots of fun. I'm in New Jersey too! And do agree with others when I say the license plates are ugly.
What ever you said is absolutely true because I got one and this car is beautiful people just love it. I was going for BMW 4 coupe but when I saw this OMG. Nice review
A very nice review. Great job with details. It appears you are someone who like cars and can do an intelligent review. Not brain washed by some of other reviewers who don't know the Lexus brand as they just stuck with BMWs.
The RC 350 is not going to blow anyone away who is looking for HP or speed. If that's important to you, Lexus has other models you might find more to your liking. However, if you're interested in luxury with a little bit of an edge, this might be for you.
I have a 2016 Fsport RWD and I really like it. I really fell in love with that aggressive front end. It is a bit of a pig but its got enough guts to have fun. I do wish it had another 50 horsepower. The interior is gorgeous and the gauges are great. It drives beautifully, but the mileage is pretty bad. I live in a big city and avg 16mpg and I spent about 1/2 my time in Sport+. I do HATE the infotainment system and the temp control sensor things are annoying. The stereo is indeed epic.
Really? I figured it would have better mileage because it’s a v6 with a sport or Econ setting. I thought the lc 500 would be the worst mileage because it’s a v8
Your channel is blowing up now. Trade the mustang in on one of these. We can see how much you love it. Looks like it puts a bigger smile on your face then the mustang.
+subaruwrxfan if you did see my comment on the view from the passenger side window.... It's awesome. It gives a really nice view of the whole inside of the car. Keep up the good work!
I came here from your "goodbye to my brz" video. I have to say your review quality has SKYROCKETED since then. Keep it up! Great job. I would love to hear a lot more about what you don't like about the cars you're reviewing, even if you think they're great vehicles. Also looks like you could use a buddy to follow you around to get more external, in-motion shots. I'm subscribing because I think you're great.
Freaking love this car. In Molten Pearl, this car stands out beyond anything else in the segment. Compared to the 4 series, it drives well but the BMW does have the edge. Overall though, an incredible car.
Good to see you driving press cars again, Matt ! Still wished you'd try a few new angles and stuff when you have a car for a few days. I feel like I can't blame you for that, but you seem to use the word nice and sweet so often that your reviews never seem to surprise me? Can you say it like that ? Probably the wrong car for me to comment on, because I hate the new Lexus design:) All the best for 2016 buddy !
+TheGetawayer Thanks Guido! I'm always trying to expand my vocabulary but when giving my first impressions off-the-cuff, I guess I just slip back into using the words that come to mind first. If it was warmer outside I'd take a wider variety of shots, but with the salty roads and cold temps, being outside and filming a car that was pretty dirty most of the week was something I wasn't up for doing. I've been scoping out some new locations to film at in the spring though to help step things up a bit! :)
+subaruwrxfan Idk man it seems like you're bs'ing when you say this car "looks good from every angle." It's pretty hideous from almost every angle, most carry this opinion. Wheel gap in the front the size of Texas but then in the rear, there's almost none. I understand you can't be so brutally honest when a dealer gives you a car to review. If you look closely, you can see hints of the old SC 430 in this car which was voted ugliest and worst car ever built by Top Gear at one point. Nice interior though.
+subaruwrxfan I test drove this car last week. I am very pleased and noticed this car is as good as my 450 hp Lexus IS F but still I'm gonna trade it with 2017 GTR this fall. You made a good point that Lexus always win reliability when compared to german brands.
You talking about the AWD system reminded me of the AWD system in my Infiniti G37x. We recently got some snow where I live and I was anxious to get the car out and play around. I must say it is a very playful car and very eager to slide the back end out around corners and it will pull legitimate drifts. It is certainly RWD bias.
I remember the old days when lexus was just a nicer camry. They've come such a long way since then. I would consider a Lexus for my next car. They have completely upped their game since just 10 years ago
Candid Matt "Let's just turn on this back road... and see how she does" with a grin. Lol every video! love it. Although at the back road point on the 350z you seemed to enjoy it SO much more.
The offer still stands, you're welcome to come review my 2014 IS350 F Sport RWD. Or try and make a request to Lexus to compare and contrast. The 8spd automatic in RWD-trim is much better btw!
Thanks for your reviews...and your intros are slick. Compared to other auto experts they are so focused on gas mileage and engine ratings. You see the whole package. Can I recommend you add the prices of the new cars. In the real world not everyone can buy a luxury car
I could really see you in this car in a few years. It really is fitting to your tastes. If this was offered in a manual, or if the RC-F was offered in a manual, you'd probably be all over it right (price aside, of course)? It's a great option for long term ownership, like you said
+maximus9401 It really did fit me well, it's just in a tricky place in the market. I still love my Mustang and would rather have a GT over this car for much less money. I'd take the RC-F over the GT probably, but for RC-F money I'd rather have a Shelby GT350 haha. Love the Lexus but there's a lot of competition.
It looked very quick, but I'm confident in saying that this is definitely not thw fastest accelerating car he's gone down a backroad; what about that Camaro few weeks ago
My parents own one and I'd have to say your review is spot on. My only personal criticism of the car is that the seats are way too firm on the bottom section for extended drives. I took it on a 800 mile trip last summer and definitely had a case of numbutt after a couple hundred miles. It's not as sharp or as quick as true sports coupe, but it's exactly what you'd expect from a Lexus coupe. BTW, my daily driver is a 2015 Ecoboost. Like minds. :)
Hey Matt this was an awesome review, I think this was the review I needed to make my decision. Thank you so much for everything you do. Maybe one day you can feature my car
I hope my mom gets this for her next car, she had a Celica and now a solara convertible, she likes to buy new and have the car for 7-10 years. These are the only cars that lasted that long without repairs. So says she'll over buy from Toyota/Lexus from Now on and since they don't have a convertible she's waiting but is eyeing the RC
drove the rc 350 f, and the RC F (v8) the sound on the v6 was quite bad we thought, and any pull on the highway (starting at 50mph, the engine basically gives up, no power, you hit, 4k, 5k rpm, all it does is more noise from the engine). The comfort was really good, and the seats were great. The steering was great too. (though at the top, it was a little too thin, it was a little weird, but not a big deal). Oh, and very quiet cabin, for sure. super comfortable for longer drives..
+Peter H I drove the RC350 and RCF and I agree with NOTHING you said. My review of the RC350 was spot on with this video. A very good sport luxury coupe.
Toyota4Life the rc350 on the highway, at like 50mph, or 60, and punch it to pass, nothing happens, just more noise. and very poor acceleration, that was the main issue for us. Oh and the noise of the engine, very weird sounding.
Peter H Why did I not notice the crap your saying and why didnt the reviewer in this video mention none of what your saying ? Dont ever become a car reviwer
Toyota4Life you probably did not notice because you didn't do any highway pulls. In small streets, or country roads, the rc350 did very well, good torque, very well matched with the transmission. but on highway, it's very poor. Maybe you should have spent a little more time with the car, testing different aspects and dynamics of it. Furthermore, if you're familiar with subaruxfan, you should know that when a car is properly quick, his reaction is quite different, here's it's like a , well, not bad.. not bad... in this review he didn't have the maniacal smile he often shows. I can't believe you didn't see that the car was sluggish. but maybe, your needs are different than mine, maybe a prius is plenty for you. Oh, and if you check engineer's explained review of the rc350, i completely agree with him, check his. Again, people are different, have different needs, I wished the rc350 had more power, better power delivery (yes, we tried all modes), as I wanted to buy it, i think it looks great and is very comfortable, and the steering was very nice, the engine? nope. The rc350 is a great GT cruiser, that looks sporty but ain't. Therefore, we're skipping this car. hopefully the q60 will do better.
+Peter H +Toyota4Life After reading multiple comments by Toyota4Life on this video, its clear that he is a fanboy of this car. Any insult thrown at this car, he will rebuttal. Speed and acceleration can differ from person to person depending on the car we are used to driving. Toyota4life clearly thinks 0-60mph in 5.7 is fast. While we would probably agree a time around the 4.5 second mark is more adequate. I'm sure even Matt would agree that this car's acceleration is significantly slower than other cars in this price range.
Would you consider this for your next car? I have a 2014 is and love it and was considering trading it in towards the end of the year for a 2015 rc, certified.
While you're talking and reviewing the drive, it'd be more engaging for the viewer to include more dash cam views of the road. Otherwise, love your vids Keep it up!
Jezza said this car (well the v8) was bad. I disagree. It looks awesome and sounds great. It may not be a track monster, but for a comfy GT car, I think it passes easily. Plus its a Lexus, so it wont loose value and it will definitely be reliable

Hopefully you can test out an RC-F soon, I'm looking into buying one soon and would really enjoy watching your point of view on the cat 👍🏽
Car
Out of all the cars you've reviewed, what car has accelerated the quickest when you turn on to the back road
It looked very quick, but I'm confident in saying that this is definitely not thw fastest accelerating car he's gone down a backroad; what about that Camaro few weeks ago
+billy thorton lol I'm pretty positive that this is not the fastest car he's reviewed 😂. Gtr?!
+Mxgt I'd say it's probably the GT-R still.
I love watching your reviews
Finally a video from you
My parents own one and I'd have to say your review is spot on. Like minds. :)
I must be lacking in padding. Now if they offered Recaro's in it...
I love the view from the passenger window.
Love it! hopefully my next car.
i like your intro very much !! keep up the good work
is this car good for tall people?
Hey Matt this was an awesome review, I think this was the review I needed to make my decision. Thank you so much for everything you do. Maybe one day you can feature my car
Cool car and cool review! 👍🏽
Such a beautiful car...i love this lexus and the interior its the best interior iv seen
I love your videos matt!!
I was waiting for this review. my dream car one day :0
absolutely gorgeous!
Not a bad looking car at all. I like the look of the IS350 more though and I really wish they'd bring the ISF back.
I REALLY wish Lexus would have made a 6 speed MANUAL transmission version of this car (and I mean stick shift NOT paddle shifters)!
I've heard all bad reviews on the Lexus. I luv the way it looks though also bro
Matt, did it feel as quick as the Q50?
Habanero
+chith siriphat chipotle
+Nicholas DeJonge lol
Why did the 2015 RC get the updated steering wheel buttons but 2016 IS still uses old ones....
It was nice to see that you had a lot of good things to say about this car. Do you think you would be able to review a 4G Mistubishi Eclipse
Does it have power folding mirrors?
I hope my mom gets this for her next car, she had a Celica and now a solara convertible, she likes to buy new and have the car for 7-10 years. These are the only cars that lasted that long without repairs. So says she'll over buy from Toyota/Lexus from Now on and since they don't have a convertible she's waiting but is eyeing the RC
Will you the lexus gs-f to review? good wok on your videos from a long time subscriber you came a long way!
If you would get one would you go with awd or rwd?
+CarGuy11 I'd probably get the rwd version if I were to buy one.
I love when he says "It has a 5.1 surround sound " and then says it has 17 speakers!!!! Lol..
5.12???
would you say that this pulls harder than your ecoboost stang after your current mods? by watching seems quite similar
drove the rc 350 f, and the RC F (v8) the sound on the v6 was quite bad we thought, and any pull on the highway (starting at 50mph, the engine basically gives up, no power, you hit, 4k, 5k rpm, all it does is more noise from the engine).
Great reviews man, seriously you're style is just so great and unique and when will you be reviewing a new GT-R or maybe an AMG GTS?
I heard it will do 60 in 5.3 for the AWD?! Even the is350 f sport will do 60 in 5.3 for AWD and 5.5 for RWD ???
So torn between buying this or an SS or challenger RT
Would you consider this for your next car? I have a 2014 is and love it and was considering trading it in towards the end of the year for a 2015 rc, certified.
I wish they had a sedan version of this, same exact styling just 4 doors
IS 350 F Sport?
I meant with the exact same styling, I'm very fond of the tail lights on this car
Nice video as always matt , could you please review the new jaguar XE S ?
Would u please do a comparison video of the Rc f,350 and 200
that 1st shot was good, and this car is hella sexy.
How would you compare the interior room (front and back) compared to the mustang?
Good stuff, Matt!
Would you consider that for your next car? I have a 2014 is and wanted to look for a certified 2015 rc towards the end of the year.
