I asked ChatGPT to list the top 10 worst metal albums, and this is what it gave me: 1. "St. Anger" by Metallica (2003) - This album was an absolute mess, with poorly produced tracks, cringe-worthy lyrics, and a lack of musical direction. Fans were left disappointed and many felt betrayed by the legendary band's attempt at a more modern sound. 2. "Risk" by Megadeth (1999) - The band's attempt at a more commercial sound was a complete failure. The album lacked the thrash metal intensity that made Megadeth famous, instead opting for a more pop-rock feel that was widely criticized by fans. 3. "The Burning Red" by Machine Head (1999) - This album marked a drastic departure from the band's previous sound and was met with widespread disappointment. The rap-metal influence was too heavy-handed, and the songs lacked the intensity and aggression that had made Machine Head popular. 4. "Chinese Democracy" by Guns N' Roses (2008) - After years of anticipation, this album was a major letdown. The bloated production, over-the-top solos, and disjointed songwriting made it a chore to listen to. It was a sad reminder of what could have been if Guns N' Roses had stayed true to their roots. 5. "Lulu" by Lou Reed and Metallica (2011) - This collaboration was doomed from the start. Lou Reed's spoken-word poetry clashed with Metallica's heavy instrumentation, resulting in a confusing mess of an album that nobody wanted. 6. "Super Collider" by Megadeth (2013) - The band's second appearance on this list, "Super Collider" was a major disappointment for fans. The title track was an embarrassing attempt at a radio-friendly single, and the rest of the album lacked the intensity and energy that made Megadeth famous. 7. "Load" by Metallica (1996) - While not as bad as "St. Anger," "Load" was another attempt by Metallica to move in a more mainstream direction. The result was a bloated, unfocused album that lacked the edge and intensity of their previous work. 8. "Cold Lake" by Celtic Frost (1988) - This album marked a drastic departure from the band's signature sound, with a focus on glam and hair metal. The result was a poorly received album that alienated fans and critics alike. 9. "The X Factor" by Iron Maiden (1995) - The first album to feature Blaze Bayley on vocals, "The X Factor" was a major disappointment for Iron Maiden fans. The songs lacked the energy and intensity of the band's classic albums, and Bayley's vocals failed to capture the magic of Bruce Dickinson's. 10. "Illud Divinum Insanus" by Morbid Angel (2011) - The band's attempt at incorporating industrial and electronic elements was a major misstep. The result was an album that felt disjointed and confused, lacking the cohesiveness and intensity of their classic work.
St. Anger would sound good if they give it the S&M2 treatment, because the AWMH version of that album is so damn good. As for this album, it's better than Lulu and it has some okay songs on it. My fave being Shoot Me Again ❤
I am a huge fan of Metallica and after the period load and reload I needed a reset like St Anger and I perfectly understood why it happened. And I agree, shoot me again is damn good.
St Anger makes lists because it is poor by previous standards, but I think it was also because it was such a let down for so many fans. The documentary explains why this album doesn't work for the most part, despite having the odd good moment
This comment was Rocked's first comment in 57 years, and the first to feature three badgers in a trenchcoat. The comment was criticized for a lack of hyberbole and its over-reliance on references to early-2000's Flash animation.
To be sincere, I think the AI just pulled a bunch of names and mismatched trivia from articles on the bands and arranged it in a safe format. St. Anger is so well-documented that the AI could form a more cohesive review.

I know very little about Google Bard, but based on a lot of the info in the descriptions, it seems like it's full of it, TBH. Mind you, the description for #1 was spot on.
Ridiculous. Not one of these albums is anywhere _near_ 'The Worst Ever'; they're just some of the more notorious mainstream ones that are popular to dump on. Trust me; there is far, far, _far_ worse out there; it's just that much of it is incredibly niche and/or obscure, and thus tends to go unheard by the masses at large. And apparently by stupid-looking robots.

Top 10 most underrated metal bands/albums of all time Top 10 most controversial bands/artists/albums/songs/albums covers of all time. I’m sorry Supercharger by Machine Head is actually a damn good album, songs like Bulldozer, Blank Generation, Only the names and Crashing around you are excellent MH songs. Like you mentioned, the timing of the release was awful but the tour was a major success with sold out shows on most dates. Yeah I’m a MH fan boy so of course it’s not the best MH album ever but not a bad metal album at all. Cool video and I love the channel! Cheers from Chicago 🍺
Damb right. I was born New Year’s Day of 70. Grew up on kiss, Alice cooper, sabbath, ac/dc, priest, etc. saw the thrash movement begin. Saw many kinds of metal being labeled. Loved some punk and prog. Saw awesome musicians. Went in many mosh pits! Love it.
Thank GOD, Adrian Smith is not dead ! Interesting list and great video, however I do not understand why MegadetH’s “Risk” is not on that list, let’s say on the top of that list. As a huge MetallicA fan, I recognize that St. Anger is pretty bad and sounds like a joke, with the exception of “The Unnamed Feeling” which is a hidden gem 💎 🎶 and maybe the title track on the DVD version is nice 📀 😅
Google Bard Worst Album picks 10-2: “This bot got every statement wrong!” Google Bard ripping into St. Anger: “I guess the chat bot knows what it’s talking about!”
St. Anger among Death Magnetic weirded me out at first but i'm fine with both now and i considered "The Unnamed Feeling" and "The Unforgiven III" two of Metallica's best tracks actually, i feel like some melodic parts like the intro of the presidio demo track "Shadows of the Cross" could've been a nice addition for St. Anger though. As for Octagon technically bardy's right about it being their twelfth as Quorthon mentioned about there being four demo albums that weren't released (Necromicon/Maleficarum, Occulta, Valhalla, Requiem 1989) so yeah bardy is a huge Black Metal nerd XD. Speaking of unreleased material its their only album to have released outtakes ("Genocide", "Resolution Greed" and allegedly one more titled "Disease With A Purpose" which never came out) which is cool i guess, the lyrics are dumb but i think the tracks are more distinctable than that of 1994's Requiem.
And Justice For All came out after Master Of Puppets…that’s one of metal’s best albums…and the black album, while not their best work, is still mostly great
Are we glossing over the fact that the AI said that Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden was dead? Dead to Maiden at the time because he wasn't on Virtual XI but is still alive and kicking today.
I'm not a St Anger apologist, but I do like the titled song. But, like you said, Bardy just regurgitates what others are saying online, and the album as a whole is not looked upon kindly. And yes, you should do more Bardy videos.

That’s a much more reasonable list
Well, it certainly could be worse...
...at least Bardy isn't yet writing for Pitchfork.
Give it a year.
Or Blabbermouth
And also be thankful Bardy, for all his flaws, isn't as bad as that no-talent hack Robert Christgau.
At least Bardy won’t be able to write a worse Pitchfork review than the one Pitchfork did on Lateralus.
When Bardy starts comparing everything to Fetch The Bolt Cutters
Gotta say this a unique video. Even though the AI is entirely inaccurate.
If this video does well I'll do another because the second group of questions I asked is brutal.
Loudwire: We'd like to annouce our brand new journalist, Bardy💀💀💀
What’s funny is they’re trying to convince me AI can take over the world. I’m not scared anymore
This comment was Rocked's first comment in 57 years, and the first to feature three badgers in a trenchcoat. The comment was criticized for a lack of hyberbole and its over-reliance on references to early-2000's Flash animation.
I mean, if you feed AI false information it will eventually see the falsehood as truth
It's not false if you BELIEVE it to be true. -Idiots
Ask Bardy what are the best Nu Metal songs of all time
Not a bad question.
I think Bardy is a guy that hangs out at my bar that doesn't know what he's talking about but insists he's always right.
this AI is being criticized for it's lack of originality and over reliance on repetitive phrasing.
To be sincere, I think the AI just pulled a bunch of names and mismatched trivia from articles on the bands and arranged it in a safe format. St. Anger is so well-documented that the AI could form a more cohesive review.
I love Ghost, and you were spot on with (kind of) defending Infestissumam. I hate metal elitists and gatekeepers, so thanks for doing this list.
Great video thank you!!! Fun to watch
6:06 - "We've Come for You All" is a great Anthrax album. It even has a solos by Dime Bag.
9:17 - Death of Adrian Smith. He's still alive.
It must’ve looked over 6 feet unders entire discography
Good point
Octagon wasn't a departure from bathorys black metal sound. They already did that years before with viking metal
Adrian Smith - Live After Death.
Definitely need more Bardy! Next how about what it thinks the best metal albums of all time are and then after that, some of the most mid metal albums are. Not necessary good or bad but in between. Just alright basically
What what if Bardy starts calling Simple Plan that greatest band of all time?
So, "Married with Children", Season 6 "My Dinner with Anthrax" from 1992 did not feature Joey? Then who was that guy credited as Joey Belladonna?
Loved that show. No leave it to beaver there. Joey was on that episode. Anyone says different don’t know metal. AI don’t know .
Loved that show. No leave it to beaver there. Joey was on that episode. Anyone says different don’t know metal. AI don’t know .
Can you lend me your comb? I’m starting up a posse and want to look good, you know what I mean.
Yes please, do another Bardy video, i wonder if says about best Rock Albums in History
I’m sure Adrian Smith would be surprised to hear that he died that might ruin his day today….
Bardy was criticize for its lack of focus and inconsistent song writing.
Oh Man Every Time Bardy Got Facts Wrong about the Album in question caused me to Wheeze. Is he trying to do a “Paul McCartney is Dead” conspiracy theory with Adrian Smith? 😆
I know very little about Google Bard, but based on a lot of the info in the descriptions, it seems like it's full of it, TBH.
Mind you, the description for #1 was spot on.
Did... did... they just call Cro-Mags and Ghost "metal"? What?!
Im shocked the bot didnt know about Risk, that album fucking sucked
Adrian Smith was declared dead. He was later taken to a better hospital where his condition was upgraded to "alive"
Hahahahaha made me chuckle.
what is it with bardy and lack of focus and inconsistent songwriting?
Actually really enjoyed we've come for you all. Yea its not classic anthrax but it was extremely well done
#10: Celtic Frost- Assassins: Black Meddle Pt. 1 (1990)
#9: Venom- Metal Black (2006)
#8: Bathory- Octagon (1995)
#7: Cro-Mags- Near-Death Experience (1993)
#6: Machine Head- Supercharger (2001)
#5: Anthrax- We’ve Come for You All (2003)
#4: Ghost- Infestissumam (2013)
#3: Slayer- Diabolus in Musica (1998)
#2: Iron Maiden- Virtual XI (1998)
#1: Metallica- St. Anger (2003)
Nah, venom metal black was super random lol
One of those many forgettable venom albums that nobody would ever think about when talking about “the top 10 … of all time”
No offense, and Stone Sour is one of my favorites, but their 2010 album was a huge disappointment IMO, and should have made the list or an honorable mention.
@@manfredmann2766 I personally liked Audio Secrecy. The album that was a letdown for me was their last album Hydrograd.
It's getting hard to tell who dislikes metal more; AI or metalheads.
I love how Bardy makes up a bunch of false facts for its first nine choices, then nailed St. Anger 100%.
That said, Virtual XI absolutely earned its spot on this list. And I'm also not surprised to see Supercharger on there, even if I do think the hate for it is overblown.
Should make more Bardy vids. I 🤣multiple times over the misinformation
Good comedy fodder. Give us a heads up next time whether or not it's going to be popcorn worthy. Wasn't prepared for this
🍿
Goes to show that AI is… not actually not that intelligent
Or that you know people on the internet certainly are not
@@nikonordman7624 which is what AI gets its sources from without fact checking.
Making it unintelligent, since we still need to human element to basically edit and fact check
You guys want to hear a thrash band that can hang with any of the big 4. Overkill. They are super great and get no love. Totally underground. Also check out Suicidal Tendencies and join the Suicidal Army.
Cant wait for the Top 10 best albums version.
Is that a Koi no yokan poster on the wall? As if i wasnt a fan enough, much love from brazil!
It's the vinyl for it!
Well if you saw his 10 best albums of 2018 list then you would know Luke is actually into j-rock and j metal bands
Waiting for the first rollout of Bardy merch.
How can you have Infestissumam and We’ve Come For You All on this list and not Risk or Super Collider by Megadeth. Seriously Super Collider might be the worst thing of all time.
Amazing content as always.
Gotta love how it got so much wrong right up until St Anger and then was spot on.
Well "Virtual XI" has three good songs in my humble opinion (Futureal, The Clansman, When Two Worlds Collide). "Diabolus In Musica" sounds good to me. With the rest I agree. Good job.
I agree totally.
Interesting that he didn’t go with Cold Lake for Celtic Frost. That album’s even more universally hated than St. Anger.
I have a series on my TH-cam channel called Catalog Cripplers. It basically has the same idea as the series called Trainwreckords that Todd in the Shadows has, but with metal albums. Cold Lake was the first album I discussed in the series.
Loved this video! One of the best and funnest uses of AI I have seen in a while. AI has a looong way to go!
Dope video 😊
I'm really curious now what Bardy thinks are the top 10 worse Rock Albums of All Time
I like how we all just collectively accept that Lulu never happened.
From what I see, Google Bardy suffers from a lack of focus and a lack of originality.
Love that 10 through 2 it was the same format for the rationale… than for St. Anger Bard comes out swinging
To see how much of a metal elitist a few things that you should ask Bardy are;
Top 10 best metal albums
Top 10 best and worst metal bands
From worst to best get him to rank the metal genres and/or sub genres
Top 10 best and worst front men and front women of all time.
Top 10 most underrated metal bands/albums of all time
Top 10 most controversial bands/artists/albums/songs/albums covers of all time.
Be interesting to see how Bardy answers them if for no other reason than to see if he'll end up getting torched by metal fans.
Bardly stated it clear and it cannot be stressed enough: lack of focus is the most important parameter.
I really like Virtual XI. I’ve heard every Iron Maiden album, and I rank it smack dab in the middle.
How is it any worse than all of the post Brave New World albums which are all overlong, repetitive, boring, plodding dreck
OK yeah, this was hysterical. I can't believe Google's own AI couldn't get basic facts that, well, you can GOOGLE right!
Hahahahaha Exactly right!
I like this concept. However please do keep in mind the maturity, exposure, understanding and the age levels of the heavy metal music fans!
Man I seriously talked shit about you on a couple of your videos...I take it all back...you are very entertaining and funny as hell...thanx
I think Bardy looks like a heavy metal version of Bomb Man from the very first "Mega Man" game. \m/
I actually loke Metal Black by Venom. It has cool riffs, fun songs but it's just a bit too long
I was thinking the same thing…that album is a really good time
As a Knot fan, I take offense at that last snare drum comment from Bardy
Google Bard Worst Album picks 10-2: “This bot got every statement wrong!”
Google Bard ripping into St.
Speaking of unreleased material its their only album to have released outtakes ("Genocide", "Resolution Greed" and allegedly one more titled "Disease With A Purpose" which never came out) which is cool i guess, the lyrics are dumb but i think the tracks are more distinctable than that of 1994's Requiem.
this is totally unrelated but where did you get that koi no yokan vinyl?
You could put all Metallica albums after Master of Puppets on that list.
And Justice For All came out after Master Of Puppets…that’s one of metal’s best albums…and the black album, while not their best work, is still mostly great
Yup. And I’ve been a fan since the beginning which makes me old.
Somehow St. Anger is the only one that Bard had a semi-coherent description for
Are we glossing over the fact that the AI said that Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden was dead? Dead to Maiden at the time because he wasn't on Virtual XI but is still alive and kicking today.
Bardy kinda has a point for Bathory. Octagon is considered one of their worst releases.
So this turns out to be a video indicating how unreliable AI logic is, rather a video of the top 10 worst metal albums.
I'm not a St Anger apologist, but I do like the titled song. But, like you said, Bardy just regurgitates what others are saying online, and the album as a whole is not looked upon kindly. And yes, you should do more Bardy videos.
