Methinks Bardy should have the digital equivalent of having his meds adjusted.
      Staind?
      Breaking Benjamin??
      Three Days Grace??
Linkin F#$king Park...WTF! BOOM *head explodes*
Staind at worst should have either gotten the #10 spot or a dishonorable mention. There is much, much worse out there (even including 14 SoG) that was wildly popular. The other three absolutely should not be on this list at all.
Ones that should... Theory of a Deadman, BuckCherry, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, Hinder... you know I could be here all day.

Yet another example of Bardy's "Go home, you're drunk" moments with Linkin Park being one of the worst, I still say they were one of the best and wrote some fucking amazing songs. Plus they had two of the best frontmen in modern rock with Chester Bennington (RIP) and Mike Shinoda, which definitely played a big part in their sound

Probably because there are a lot of negative comments about them online.
Linkin Park "suffers" the most because how they changed their music since hybrid theory and that wasnt always well received by their fans.

I never really understood why a lot of people don't enjoy limp bizkit or even hate them, they had a lot of good songs and great commercial success, in my opinion, all of the members are extremely talented, wes is such a great guitarist and artist (i love his stage outfits and his makeup and stuff like that), john is a good drummer, dj lethal adds a lot to their sound, sam is just so good at playing bass (that's also part of the reason why i love re-arranged so much), and you can say about fred's songwriting what you want, i personally enjoy it, it makes the songs fun to listen to, and his vocals are very distinct from other vocalists, he is genuinely a good director (he directed most, if not all, of limp bizkit's music videos and some music vids of other bands, inclung falling away from me by korn), limp bizkit still holds up to this day, and sure he was in a lot of drama, especially in the early 2000s, but he always kept the band's status somewhat high and kept them popular (seeing that people are still talking about them, even to this day, showcases that perfectly), but hey, that's just my opinion :)

Okay, Bardy HAS to be scrounging for "highest total amount of any negative discussion" or something when it comes to generating these lists. He exclusively picks out the most mainstream acts of the time while ignoring other groups that have a much bigger hatedom, and that's not even mentioning how completely off pick #2 is. And the explanations for his reasoning are insanely shallow; you could take Bardy's assessment for Limp Bizkit and use it to accurately describe Blink-182 verbatim, but those qualities are not what makes the music bad or good.

Instead; Trapt, Hinder, Theory of a Deadman, and Buckcherry should take their place. Also, he thinks Linkin Park is too heavy? The music's as shallow and generic as all can be, they have song titles that just aren't clever, and they have songs that are very demeaning towards women, most notably Bad Girlfriend. The song itself even aged like milk, as the future ex-Ms. Connelly is now the current ex-Ms. Connelly. I'd say Tyler was the one being bad in this case and not his "wife".

So yes, in my TOTALLY SUBJECTIVE list of worst 2000s bands Linkin Park is near the top - even if I really like the sincere, emotional lyrics. Or Nirvana which is known for being one of the big players in a genre all about wanting to die and doing drugs. I just don’t get it.

  • @BlakeMaxwellHart
    @BlakeMaxwellHart ปีที่แล้ว +1

Here are my thoughts on each one on the list, in no particular order.
Creed: Anything before "With Alms Wide Opawn" is stuff I can at least take seriously and actually genuinely enjoy. My Own Prison (which my mom owns and regrets buying) has some good stuff on there but after that, no thanks.
Limp Bizkit: If I ever intentionally listen to them, it's the actual music and not the vocals or lyrics because the music itself is pretty good.
Papa Roach: Really, Bardy? Their first album has decent deep cuts like Dead Cell and Infest, and they have pretty good singles like Help. I'd still take them over Staind, though.
Staind: Well, I get why they're on this list. I wasn't really a huge fan of them to begin with (I was in a short Staind phase for a few years and I liked some of their singles, but that was it), and I feel that their 90s albums are the only things worth checking out from them. I've heard Break the Cycle and... Outside of three tracks (Open Your Eyes, Pressure, and Epiphany), this album is just ehhhh. It isn't awful, but that's the most positive thing I can say about it.
Puddle of Mudd: Honestly, outside of Blurry, Control, Drift and Die and Psycho, this band has a lot of songs that just don't do anything except remind you that there's better music out there. (Mom used to own Come Clean back in the day but she doesn't have it anymore.)
Seether: Some of their songs do have some violent imagery like Pride, Needles, Pig, and Gasoline, but really Bardy? Out of all bands, Seether is the worst of the 2000s? I don't get it.
Breaking Benjamin: Okay, I don't get this one at all. Yes, all their songs have a formula. Does that mean it's the end of the world, though? No.
Linkin Park: Okay, you've got to be trolling at this point, Bardy. They're nowhere near the worst of the 2000s.
Nickelback: I'm not really a fan of this band so I get why they're on the list.
I'm surprised bands like Trapt, Hoobastank (first album has some gems like Crawling in the Dark), Saving Abel (their first album is plain Mac and cheese, nothing wrong with it, but it could be better), Theory of a Deadman (their first two albums are okay. Almost everything else is laughable), Hinder, Simple Plan, and Crazy Town aren't on this list.
Perhaps Bardy will put the correct bands on a part 2 of this list.

And, using rappers in your songs is kind of a tightrope. With the rappers that Linkin Park enlisted, they just made their songs sound like pop songs with distortion.

The best nu metal tended to be earlier works where you could still notice the influences. Early Korn, Mudvayne, Incubus, SOAD, and a bunch of more obscure acts were more funky and complex, obviously inspired by Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Primus, RHCP, Jane’s Addiction, etc. And then Deftones came at the genre from a more post-hardcore direction. Nickelback: Nickelback is often criticized for their repetitive song structures, formulaic lyrics, and generic rock sound. Their music has been accused of lacking depth and originality.
Creed: Creed's post-grunge sound and lead singer Scott Stapp's often melodramatic and overwrought vocal style have led to criticism. Their music has been called clichéd and derivative.
Limp Bizkit: Limp Bizkit's rap-rock fusion and frontman Fred Durst's controversial persona have been divisive. Critics argue that their music is overly aggressive, lacking substance, and filled with juvenile and misogynistic lyrics.
Hinder: Hinder gained commercial success with their debut album, but their music has been criticized for relying on clichéd lyrics about sex, partying, and relationships. Critics have accused them of being unoriginal and pandering to mainstream tastes.

I can’t believe Theory Of A Dead Man, Trapt, Simple Plan, Buckcherry, or HINDER didn’t get on here but Breaking Benjamin, TDG (2000s era) and LINKIN PARK did.

I was surprised not to see Simple Plan here. Even the biggest pop-punk fans I know hate Simple Plan with a passion.

Three Days Grace? SERIOUSLY? How!? Why!?
They were my favorite band for years. I cannot believe they would be on anyone (or anything’s) worst list.
The only thing more shocking is that Linkin Park is on here.

Linkin Park doesn’t belong on this list tbh. They were arguably one of the best rock bands of the 2000s.

That papa roach clip awoke so many memories I'd forgotten of me playing smackdown vs raw 2008 when I was little

If Nickleback was anywhere other than number 1, I’d be shocked. Limp Bizkit is one of those bands that we loved in middle/high school, jammed to it, and sang along to every song. Then one day, we just realized how bad they were. I will admit, I still rock “Break Stuff” every once in a while.
