As the power frequency in Tokyo is 50 Hz, the following can be used to reduce fluorescent light and signal flicker. Frame rate of 25 or 50; or shutter speed of 1/50 or 1/25. You should have an ND filter around 16 or 32 during the day.
@@ichiro0770 Thank you for the answer! I am travelling also in Kyoto/Osaka Region (There is 60Hz right?) So I have to choice if I use 60 or 50 FPS for the trip. Would 60FPS with 1/100 for Tokyo and then 60 FPS with 1/120 for the south of Japan work?
You are correct. The power frequency in Kyoto and Osaka is 60 Hz, so switch the shutter speed or frame rate to a multiple of 60. In Japan, there are 50 Hz and 60 Hz regions, generally bounded by the Fuji River in Shizuoka Prefecture, 50 Hz in eastern Japan and 60 Hz in western Japan. Have a good trip!
Hi,
What settings would you recommend for 4k/60 in tokyo?
