  • The first big trip with the Hilux really got me to use all the incredible gear on this vehicle in a huge variety of different environments, and situations! I got to find the strengths and weaknesses of the way I had the vehicle set up, and now it is time to start tweaking and refining the build. So it was time to head to back to Bushtech to make some changes and moving some stuff around; it also gives me the opportunity to give you a good look at what goes into one of the best Aluminium Canopies on the market! The changes really will end up making an impact on how I camp and even in the daily life on an overlanding adventure!

    It makes total sense to have shifted things around to the way you have. Under the awning, especially when raining, one needs to be able to get to what you need in comfort. I like it. Well done.

    Just a suggestion. Change the cover of the tailgate to a flat stainless steel sheet. Then you have extra work/prep space. At the moment it is wasted space.

    • @RoamOverlanding
      @RoamOverlanding  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a small stainless steel sheet; Once I have a Tailgate assist shock, I will swap to a full stainless setup. It does get quite heavy though, but the smaller metal plate works so damn well, so having a big one would be even better for sure!

      Got a stress fracture while on my walk in the Kruger, so that’s why the videos had a gap here and there because of the recovery period... 9 weeks; but I am feeling much better now and am out of the boot as of a couple days ago 👍🏻
