@@VuNguyen-sx4lt That's a old video though, today they aren't that different anymore. @@pon1 Following that logic, I think it would be best to wait towards the end of 2021 to make a new comparison video to give time for 351elec to flourish.
@@v101damnations Yeah, I do agree with that, or at least until 351elec has comparable loading times. Maybe a loading time comparison so that we know what the actual difference is? That might give a lot of incentive to work on getting them shorter. I don't actually mind the loading times of the games that much, but the loading time when the system is off until we get to the main menu is really long on 351elec and from what I understand ArkOS has much shorter loading time in that regard.
Having Problems with it, using the Stock SD card as of right now, and because there are multiple Partitions, i dont know which one to choose. I got a question hoping you would be able to help. I followed your steps all the way from the start and get the Ark OS working for the most part. But the one thing missing is the short cut to open up the RetroArch overlay interface by pressing the R3 and L3( or pressing select/start like you did at 13:49). In my case, if I press select and start at the same time twice it will stop the current game and take me back to the game selection menu. And the R3/L3 function is totally gone. I really hope you could give me some advice on that because ArkOS really seems to be the one to use as of now. Thanks in advance.

Went trough this video and i found it very easy to follow and in detail with settings. My device works great. Just one thing i found is, I have some games that wont load, for example, I have the Garou Mark of the Wolves for Neo Geo Emulator, this one wont load and i tried the two retroarch emulators available but neither will work. Is this because the rom file is bad or, is it because im missing some emulator files or I need another emulator loaded? Thanks!
Brilliant videos. I cant seem to get this to work all the way to replacing the card with arkos on it. Followed your guide to the letter, im new to this so am i missing something?. I have the rg351m.
Question: is there a way to create specific subfolders to organize games? For example, inside snes folder, can I create a “shmups” folder? Or some similar method?
Hey Russ. Quick question, I've been using arkos for a while now with zero issues up until now. Now suddenly when I boot it up it defaults to 1% system volume and I have to go to the settings and change it to 100% to use the volume wheel properly. Does your sage wisdom have a fix for this? Am on final release btw.

Could you do me a favor and tell me how Metal Gear Solid 1, MGS Portable Ops and MGS Peace Walker do on the RG351 series and similar handhelds ? Ive been looking for a handheld than can play these 3 and not be a PS Vita. Thank you very much in advance
Hey man! Thanks for another awesome video. Is the same release also useable for the 351v? Mine is coming in tomorrow so curious to know if I need to change OS and which one would you suggest?
ArkOS has its own distinct build for the RG351V, it's still in testing phase but it is very stable. Here's a link to it in this guide: retrogamecorps.com/2021/04/15/rg351v-custom-firmware-guide-351elec-arkos-thera/ Of the available firmwares, I would recommend ArkOS for the RG351V.
i have a problem, i installed arkos but the easyrom folder does not appear, i used a program like diskgenius and minitool wizard and i can't assign a letter, my pc doesn't recognize it, what can i do friend?
I'm trying to find any information on where to specifically get the BIOs files but I can't seem to find what I need to download. Will the BIOs folder that came with the other OS work for it?
Used this video to set up my 351m that arrived today, already loving this device. Thank you for putting the perfect video out for this! I just have one question: are there menus for the other emulator options? I'm using the standalone rice emulator for 64, but I don't know if it has a menu like retroarch. If there is a menu, how do I open it?
Hi, great timing! Unfortunately some emulators (like the standalone N64 emulator, and the RetroRun Dreamcast emulator) don't have menus. It's just the way those were built.
I'd look at joining the Retro Handhelds community on discord if you're having trouble setting something up. Sounds like it might be a hardware issue though if the button isn't working. The membrane under the buttons is kinda thin on these. I never had any issues with my 351p though.
Hello. I purchased an RG351V and I’m fe en following your videos but there isn’t a dedicated video for that console yet. Would you mind making one with the best update firmware out there that’s upgradable since some are just done making updates for? I would like to set mine up the way you can explain it to me, us, really hard to go back and forth and trying to guess which one is better. I’ve had mine for about 3 days now and so far I’m loving it but I still can’t get it right to the T. Please, make a video for the RG351V. Thank you in advance.
How can I find roms to place in folders that arkos has empty. For example 3do the folder is empty. I would like to place games to go with the correct folder.
nice videos sir , I recently bought this console (not yet arrived), which S.O do you recommend me to play NDS, I want to play pokemon "soul silver". my second question is the following, is it possible to increase the speed in pokemon? (as on PC with emulators). I've been watching several of your videos, but I couldn't find one where it specifically shows the speed increase "fast forward" If you get to read these, I would appreciate the information.
Hi Haki, I would use ArkOS for NDS because it works right out of the box without having to install any additional packages. You can fast-forward most games, here is my guide: retrogamecorps.com/2021/01/27/guide-rewind-and-fast-forward-on-retro-handheld-devices/ This doesn't apply to NDS, which has its own settings menu, but it does have a fast forward toggle that you can map to a button if you'd like.
@@RetroGameCorps I saw the video, in the pokemon you showed at the end, when using fast-forward the game jumps from 60fps to 450-480fps. in NDS, how much extra fps you get when using the Fast Forward function. 60 fps to ??? thanks for answering

you were so fast for this but then 351elec came back haha
Yeah. It's a plot twist inside of a plot twist 😁
I prefer the old version of the intro logo (without the text outline) on your videos. It looks more... retro.
Mine's not booting up after update
Hey Russ. Quick question, I've been using arkos for a while now with zero issues up until now. Now suddenly when I boot it up it defaults to 1% system volume and I have to go to the settings and change it to 100% to use the volume wheel properly. Does your sage wisdom have a fix for this? Am on final release btw.
Best Shader for every Core is for me with this Settings:
Shaders / crt / glsl / zfast - crt.glsp
Blur Amount X-Axis 0.00
Scanline Darkness - Low 0.00
Scanline Darkness - High 0.00
Dark pixel Brightness Boost: 1.00
Mask Effect Amount: 0.50
Mask/Scanline Fade: 0.80
My thanks for all Tricks on the RG351
This is a very lovely shader setup, thanks for sharing! I might show this off in a future video.
Could you do me a favor and tell me how Metal Gear Solid 1, MGS Portable Ops and MGS Peace Walker do on the RG351 series and similar handhelds ? Ive been looking for a handheld than can play these 3 and not be a PS Vita. Thank you very much in advance
Is it necessary to install bios files in various console folders, or does the new update have everything pre installed?
Hey man! Thanks for another awesome video. Is the same release also useable for the 351v? Mine is coming in tomorrow so curious to know if I need to change OS and which one would you suggest?
ArkOS has its own distinct build for the RG351V, it's still in testing phase but it is very stable. Here's a link to it in this guide: retrogamecorps.com/2021/04/15/rg351v-custom-firmware-guide-351elec-arkos-thera/
Of the available firmwares, I would recommend ArkOS for the RG351V.
@@RetroGameCorps Thanks for the quick reply. Keep up the good work!
i have a problem, i installed arkos but the easyrom folder does not appear, i used a program like diskgenius and minitool wizard and i can't assign a letter, my pc doesn't recognize it, what can i do friend?
I'm trying to find any information on where to specifically get the BIOs files but I can't seem to find what I need to download. Will the BIOs folder that came with the other OS work for it?
Hi ! Great videos ! Helped a ton.
Do you know by any chance how to save state while using a N64 standalone emulator ?
Cheers !
It's just the way those were built.
every time I install this, the A button doesn't get me past the first setup screen on the RG351M. Does anyone else have this issue?
By the way…I’ve been using ArkOS and so far my favorite of all the three that you talk about
How can I find roms to place in folders that arkos has empty. For example 3do the folder is empty. I would like to place games to go with the correct folder.
great vid! is there anyway to boot ArkOs on an Android device?
nice videos sir , I recently bought this console (not yet arrived), which S.O do you recommend me to play NDS, I want to play pokemon "soul silver".
my second question is the following, is it possible to increase the speed in pokemon? (as on PC with emulators).
I've been watching several of your videos, but I couldn't find one where it specifically shows the speed increase "fast forward"
If you get to read these, I would appreciate the information.
Hi Haki, I would use ArkOS for NDS because it works right out of the box without having to install any additional packages. You can fast-forward most games, here is my guide: retrogamecorps.com/2021/01/27/guide-rewind-and-fast-forward-on-retro-handheld-devices/
This doesn't apply to NDS, which has its own settings menu, but it does have a fast forward toggle that you can map to a button if you'd like.
@@RetroGameCorps I saw the video, in the pokemon you showed at the end, when using fast-forward the game jumps from 60fps to 450-480fps.
in NDS, how much extra fps you get when using the Fast Forward function. 60 fps to ???
thanks for answering
Thanks for the video, really helps. I just don’t manage to change the background. I saved a JPG in 24bits in 640x480 (RG351V)… any advise ? Thanks.
hi i did what the video says and when i put in my new mmc/tf1 and set option to see what game system available, it cant show ps1 psp gba gb or others game system, what should i do
