I made a ww1 era-ish inspired bomber in brink link, I took inspiration from the swordfish, I think it's okay, I just had trouble with adding a machine gun on the back because it's difficult to build one that swivels and still looks nice.

To be honest I don’t think it’s fair to judge a LEGO Creation based on colour and how consistent it is. Not everyone can afford big batches of the same colour for planes. I rate LEGO Planes based off of how good they look and how true they are to the original.
