This is song is a masterpiece but it fucks you up emotionally! First time I heard it I cried like a baby and then went and showed it to my mom and she cried too lol Its comforting to know that some experiences are somewhat universal regardless where you grow up

The reason him mom would sing to him repeatedly was because he suffered from Attention Deficit so she did her best to help him learn. The phone number was his home phone where he used to live. Nice reaction to a genius of an artist, Residente!

He started writing this song about 3 years ago after a trip to Mexico for a concert, the concert was full and he did not want to leave the hotel room, he called his mother because he wanted to jump off the balcony, his mother calm him down and on that day a friend was traveling to see him and stayed with him. All this he posted on twitter when the song came out.
His friend wasn’t shot 4 times, his friend was murdered by four cops ... 😣

Spirt, the phone number is his house phone when he was a baby. Rene learned best with rhymes. Mom knew this and would re-teach him things after school in a way she knew he understood. He memorized his home phone like this when he was tiny.

Remember the song Latino America you reacted too? Well, Rene was not loved for songs like this back home in the 90s. He was devastated when he was rejected by main-stream PR. It was a blessing for the world because he found the Latin American community (and the world found him). But he wasn't recognized back home. I understand. I love this man like so many around the world. And I feel his pain of feeling his home town didn't love him.

As a puertorican at the begining of the song her mom trying to study story of Puerto Rico telling him with what parts of the body the Tainos plays heads knees etc cause he was dealing with autism..... we were made by a mix of 3 races conquered by spanish locals taino indians and africans ...btw the number in the 80s no area code needed thats his moms telephone number he just want to call home go back where he was happy and love ....
