HOO boy this is finished!
This PMV centers around Squirrelflight and her relationship with Ashfur... I've seen a lot of content where Squirrel is really sad, or it focuses on Ashfur instead and I wanted to do my own take on it I guess! I've always seen Squirrel as never loving Ashfur, and how she was so mad that he continued to mourn over a relationship that, to her, was never there. At first she felt bad for breaking it off, but Ashfur soon showed his true colours and she no longer wanted to deal with him.

One of my biggest pet peeves is probably when Ashfur PMVs don't draw out Ashfur's demise. Hollyleaf had lots of time to build up that anger and frustration, but instead a lot of people just go from Fire Scene to Hollyleaf Murders Ashfur as if it all just happened at once.

I love how sassy you made her. Everyone makes her so air headed but she was so sassy and spicy in the books! Also this is all ashfurs fault. Look at Thrushpelt he got rejected and formed a fake relationship with bluefur to keep her kits save and was happy and content with it. Ashfur tried to kill her "children", he was a cruel mentor to lionpaw, he is her half uncle, and its theorized he set the trap for firestar. It doesnt matter if he was depressed or grieving he had no right to do that. None of this is squirellflights fault.
It’s actually canon that he helped hawkfrost trap firestar, he mentioned it during the fire scene

I actually think she would be crying. Not much, but a little bit. She's telling the truth about her kits, in front of them. And she's scared they're going to die. But you're 100% right.
I don’t think so, personally. She was seething in loathsome anger at Ashfur’s stupendously ridiculous decision. Besides, she had to act as uninterested and careless as possible to really home in that she (somehow) didn’t care about The Three. Had she been in peak performance, Squirrelflight might’ve outright fought Ashfur, had she no option.

Yes. I love Squirrelflight so much! She's so brave and willing to give up everything for her sister. Not to forget her attitude that makes her awesome in my eyes! It annoys me when people animate her as crying and depressed when she's not like that.
Right!!! Normally I see siblings in the books have more of a friendship bond than a sibling bond but Squirrelflight and Leafpool had a strong sibling bonds, along with Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, and Jayfeather and Dovewing and Ivypool.

This is so well done aaa! It’s such a breath of fresh air to see a PMV where Squirrelflight is as stern collected as she really was in the books about the whole situation. I’ve seen too many recreations of the fire scene where she’s crying and at Ashfur’s mercy, when it really didn’t play out like that at all.

Squirrelflight has no control over who she loves and she has the right to choose. Poor Ash just didn't get chosen, but how was killing Squirrelflight's family supposed to help him get back on her good side?

She stop the relationship with him and pick Brambleclaw as her true mate end story.(I blame Ashfur for ruining her relationship, family and trying kill Firestar and power of three.)

So I doubt Ashfur loved Squirrelflight anymore and just wanted to put her in her place.

And it was Ashfur who had such derogatory attitude and behaviour, refusing to listen to Squirrelflight when she calmly being open about her feelings and childishly storming off in a strop when he couldn't get his way.

If you were her paws step would you do the same thing and kill Ashfur or have him walk away and tell the secret of three to Thunderclan. The 3rd plan would be to beat up Ashfur with teeth and claws which is what I would do in that situation.

I just came across this and I fell in love. The designs and colors are so clean! I absolutely adore how you made Squirrelflight as her character since I've seen so many videos of her crying (not criticizing those, but the change is nice). I feel like the first lyrics really don't fit all that way, with all the "Yes I lied" etc, since she never did lie. As far as I understand, she still wanted to be his friend, and she did care about him. But I always did imagine her being angry when it came to the fire scene instead of sad. With everything he had tried to do, I can't imagine her feeling guilty but rather, angry, infuriated, even. So I feel you did the fire scene very well, the only thing that really didn't fit was some of the lyrics.
Regardless of a few lyrics not fitting however, you did a lovely job! I absolutely adore your art style- especially the character designs and the shading! The shading is just so vivid and I love the colors you used for it! It's truly a beautiful work of art, and you did a very good job. You earned a new subscriber.^^

Yeah, I agree... lyrics is not accurate. However I love the animations and how sassy Squirrelflight looks.
The expressions are EVERYTHING!! The timing, the camera movements, the amazing designs, and the EMOTION!! You can really feel Squirrelflight's carelessness and Ashfur's aggravation. And the fire reflected in Hollyleaf's eyes, I like to think, could be a way of symbolizing her burning hatred towards Ashfur. This is all just SO GORGEOUS!!

1. He was about kill the damn power of three in till Squirrelflight told the true that their not her kits.
2. He was going tell everyone in Thunderclan the truth of three till he got killed by Hollyleaf. Which I can't blame her anger any animal or person would piss off for revenge. Yes Leafpool is in blame for not being a good mom for her kits and made their whole world a living lie. But some secrets are better left unsaid maybe.

This isn't Squirrelflight fault. She did what she thought was right and when the truth was relieved Squirrelflight payed the punishment with Leafpool.
*Cough* Actually no she didn't. Leafpool DID get punished for what she did while Squirrelflight had a teenage breakup with Brambleclaw. Anyway's IT IS her fault. Just because "You did what you thought was right" doesn't make an action any less your fault. Ashfur thought he was doing what he thought was right but nobody gives him a pass.
Misha Marilend "cough" losing her mate was Squirrelflight punishment. Squirrelflight was just protecting her sister and kits. Would you plan A. Tell your father that leafpool has kits and then soon afterwards get exiled by whole clan during winter where the kits couldn't survive.
plan B. Lie to the whole clan and keep the secret all way until your death bed and wait untill the whole family is in Starclan to tell the whole story of what really happen?
So yeah I'm going with plan B. because family comes first when they need you the most. Plus sometimes you need to lie to protect people you love.

Ashfur's "right" was committing multiple murders and revealing that could have destroyed the clans. One that he had no business with in the first place.
Squirrelflight's "right" was protecting her sister and kits.
Misha Perasin - The reason Ashfur doesn't get a 'pass' from the majority of the fandom is because he attempted multiple murders over literally nothing. Squirrelflight gets a 'pass' because Leafpool forced her romantic problems upon her and left Squirrelflight with the tricky decision of protecting her sister or not.

Why do people say Squirrelflight is bad and that she deserves to be hated when all she did was help her sister. Also a lot of people are mad at her cos of when she revealed they weren’t her kits and often she is portrayed as kind of the bad guy when her ashfur was trying to burn her niece and nephews alive.

!Spoliers Ahead For Character Deaths And Major Plots!
I honestly don’t know why Ashfur went to Starclan. He plotted to kill his own clan leader and burn three children alive, something that is inexcusable and can’t be justified. The reason Hawkfrost is in the Dark Forest is because of what he did to Firestar, but Ashfur did the same thing and is welcomed into Starclan. Besides, Hawkfrost can’t be fully blamed for Firestar losing a life, because Hawkfrost had died before Firestar did. But guess who was still alive when Firestar lost a life? Ashfur.
What also annoys me is how the people who side with Ashfur claim “his mother died when he was an apprentice so it’s not his fault.” There are plenty of cats whose parents or loved ones died, yet they turned out fine. Ex: Bluestar (lost Moonflower, Snowfur, Mosskit, Oakheart), Sandstorm (lost Redtail), Crookedstar (lost Shellheart, Rainflower, Oakheart, Minnowkit, Willowkit, Willowbreeze, Silverstream, practically everyone he loved), Ferncloud (lost Brindleface, Spiderleg, Icecloud, Shrewpaw, Hollykit, Larchkit, Foxleap).
A Sloth Who Needs Subs Ashfur never killed anyone though. He was there when Hawkfrost took one of Firestar’s lives but he wasn’t the actual one who did that. Also with the fire. He still didn’t kill anyone. He just threatened too which is something anyone who is mentally unstable would say. Yeah Ashfur made some mistakes and he shouldn’t be forgiven, but he didn’t do anything bad enough to end up in the Dark Forest. The cats that are there are criminal, don’t believe in Star Clan or just despised Star Clan. Threatening someone doesn’t send you to hell.
@@bobaparadise9419 i think because he had a lingering jealousy and the potential to hurt squirrelflight more that people think he shouldn't be in starclan. with the rate it's going, and if ashfur is the guy possessing bramblestar, then this may be true. cats who still have desire for revenge go to the dark forest, like mapleshade. but yellowfang sympathized with him, so she let him in, i guess. mapleshade was a bit more obvious about her vengeful nature tho so i guess that's part of it?

This is the first Squirrelflight PMV I’ve seen that has her attempt to save Brambleclaw! In short, this is amazing!
How do you only have 1k oml you need more subs this is amazing!
Mind you, all of this could have been avoided if either a) Ashfur hadn't popped up out of nowhere and been all "I love you Squirrelflight so much" out of absolutely nowhere. Or b) Squirrelflight had set down clearer boundaries. I don't think she ever loved Ashfur like she loved Brambleclaw. She was looking for someone to lean on while they were fighting, but not a replacement or another mate. Ashfur blew the entire situation out of proportion and, uh... There really is no justification for trying to kill at least five cats (including himself.)

This is one of the most over used parts in warriors so far.

It’s not a map, and @Rockstar Ivypool you can’t go to everyone who says “I like Squirrelflight” and try to change their opinion. Okay I get it, she’s your least favorite character but that doesn’t give you the right to try to turn people against her. People can like and hate characters from books all they want, it’s not a crime to like Squirrelflight. So please stop because it’s getting annoying to find every comment that says something along the lines of “Squirrelflight is my favorite character” and to find you saying “Squirrelflight sucks!” because their opinion isn’t invalid and it never will be.
