EDIT 4/15/20: Guys, you are totally free to take inspiration from this MAP’s concept to make your own-that’s totally fine. But if you do use this same concept/format, PLEASE do not use the same song. Obviously songs are not copyrighted, but using it in the same context makes it seem like the same MAP just with different characters. Please don’t do this.
It amazes me that this managed to get done before my two other MAP's that were started before, but I am beyond proud at how well this has come out. I got to meet a bunch of awesome people and they helped bring to life a project that was uncharacteristic for me--something more out there, and maybe even a little silly. I want to thank them all for the work they put in to make this MAP great.

I've had a few people ask about the "story" for this MAP, so I thought I'd give a more detailed explanation:
There’s no real “story” in the traditional sense, but basically the MAP started when I wondered, what if Leafpool and Squirrelflight held a bit of resentment towards each other for the secret the two shared? Obviously it ended up hurting them and causing even more problems, so I kind of wanted to explore a side where instead of teaming up, the two kind of turned against each other.
Obviously since this MAP doesn’t follow a script there’s no real story and it can come across as a bit playful at times, but what I said before was the original intent. I originally considered using Dovewing and Ivypool for this MAP, and while they could technically work, I thought that would be a bit too predictable and I wanted to try something different.

Actually that makes sense because when the secret came out until the end of The Last Hope, Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw weren’t mates, so technically, Leafpool made Squirrelflight lose her mate, therefore she might have a slight resentment towards Leafpool.

Starclan gave them that gift for the journey but took it away when Squirrelpaw/flight got back from the original journey

Wow this was amazing!! I rlly loved that all the other characters that appeared ( the three, ashfur, brambleclaw, etc) were all like just silhouettes with eyes and had a very simplistic design compared to squirrel and leaf, it made me focus on those two more and treat the others as just background information great job!!
GEKKOZILLA I actually went back and forth debating on whether or not everyone else should have actual designs, to a point where I actually designed Lion and Jay, but I eventually felt it was best that Leaf and Squirrel get the most emphasis. (:

So you had designs for lion and jay, and not holly to be clear? If this is correct, why? Is it because she, well, died n all or smth else? Or after designing those two did you decide- nah, silhouettes are better? Really curious
@@doe4003 It was after designing Lion and Jay that I decided that silhouettes would be better. :3 I honestly didn't really have a solid plan with even them to start, so I can't even say what I would have done for Holly even if I stuck with my original idea. The designs that made it into the MAP were chaotic enough, and I didn't want to confuse people. Plus, I think it may have ended up taking away from Leafpool and Squirrelflight as the main characters of the MAP if I had gone along with it. :3
Squirrelflight is usually the sassy one, it’s good to see some sassy ness in leafpool
The outcome of this MAP is absolutely mindblowing!! Every part syncs up so darn well and I can't help but watch this on repeat already and it's only been out for almost half an hour!! Everyone did such an amazing job and I'm so honored to have been part of this project!! Tysm for letting me join

Man, I was waiting for this map so much, the end result was better than I’d imagine!
With the main focus, Squirrelflight and Leafpool, having very unique and stylized design, and the rest being silhouettes, for most it’s already easy to tell which characters the MAP focuses on! With the design of the side characters being silhouettes, it’s really fun and creative, and I doubt not that many MAPs have that style of characters.
I really have nothing more but praise for this masterpiece, I hope many more will have the same feel as this one!

It's so abstract and different from some other emo ish based maps that I've seen and takes the sisters on a whole new spin.
Also the art is flawless in all the parts
For those curious, both Lionblaze and Jayfeather were originally planned to have designs similar to Squirrelflight and Leafpool's before I decided to have silhouettes instead.

Wow! This is amazing! Normally, i find in MAPs I find at least one animation that I dislike (could be because i don't personally like their art style or in general they need more practice and ruin it a bit, obviously thats perfectly fine everyone is at their own level) but with this one it was all animators at the same level which made it perfect! It would be nice for a lil background -w-

Heck. Looking at the characters, I feel so bad for the animators. Squirrelflight and Leafpool have such complex designs, it must have been a pain in the rear to animate. They’re so pretty, but complex. Good job to all the animators!

At least we can take comfort in the fact that this is a pmv map, which is mostly tweening and editing with a smaller amount of frames. Less frames means the animators can afford to use more detail in the drawings and dont have to simplify as much. Only a few animators went out and did full animations and when they did it was shorter sections, a single part of a character and not the full body, or the background character silhouettes.
