Brilliant. Let me know how you get on. Yes, sorry about the cost of it all! They say radio will make you into a millionaire... but only if you start as a billionaire!!!
Good afternoon all at ML&S M7OPM

Nice video
Thank you!
Hi Ben loving the vlogs and just right for me to follow :) looking forward to the next one. Does the Boafeng have to be a n 888s or can other Boafengs be utilised i.e the uv-5r
I think you CAN use the uv5r, but I wouldn't 1) it's three times the price, 2) it's more powerful (I reduce the power of the 888s, as you shall see) 3) I don't know how to find the cos, ptt, and other connections. Hope that helps.
Be aware that the uv-5r has a TOT. Transmission Time Out Timer. Mine stopped transmitting after 600 sec's . On a very busy hub net the UV5R is Useless. I haven't found any way to shut off the TOT timer. Just letting you know.
@@africantwin173 hi mate i only asked about the uv-5r as i have a spare one knocking about but thanks for the info anyway .
Will watch all videos would love to build one. Mike KA8IIM
Can one use the charger that comes with the Boafeng radio instead of the diodes. Disregard this. You can't use that.
Call me dumb but could you tell me what Watt rating the resistors should be.
Ve3wwm. Thats for your offer.
