In moldovan/romanian culture there is a similar ritual, used especially for “scared” children, to make them calm again. I got one when i was 5 after a dog scared me and i had bad dreams every night. Worked like a charm, maybe this is the reason i love asmr now
Me too. I use to go to an old lady everytime i got scared and after visited her i felt so relaxed. She whispered some prayers and performed some massages too. When she passed away I dreamt her knocking on my door and telling me something I cant remember.

Having a panic attack at 3am and randomly found this. She is so calming and comforting. Reminds me of how my grandma would calm me down as a child. She would message my head and whisper pray in Spanish over me. Something about an abuela calling on god and heaven to bring peace just calms the soul. But now I miss my grandma 😭
