Mountain Lions - oh my! We have coyotes all around my farm & it is chilling to hear them howling evenings several acres away where they’ve been seen. I stumbled upon their killing field in my woods last spring. Just bones & more bones. Cannot imagine your situation near your house! I discovered a great sock yarn of 80% wool & 20% mohair all local Canadian to Fleece & Harmony called Bramble which they prepare and put up in their mill on PEI. 400yds/104gr/3 ply. You might enjoy it too. Good luck with the Sleepy Kitties. I’ve made several of Susan B Anderson’s Patterns. She does know what she is doing! 😉. Lots of fun. Thank you for sharing your podcast.
Jessica, I am so sorry to hear about your sheep.....so scary. But you are taking the right steps. I hope it all works out for you and all stay safe. The star pattern is so pretty, and I LOVE the colors. it would look so nice like just above the ribbing on the bottom of a sweater. just a border on the bottom.
Jessica I love your new sock designe and love the star and can’t wait for the pattern you working on 😊😊 so sad about your sheep, I’d be scared to but like you so upset , send prayers to you all 😊😊😊
Looking forward to Bough's release....i have the yarn on hand for a toddler-sized one.... Forest Green with silver gray colorwork in a luscious merino yak blend. Little grandson can't have too many hand-knit sweaters!!
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and can’t wait to see your car knitting progress! The giant star motif would look great around the bottom of a sweater. 😊
Jessica I’m so sorry about the loss of your sheep! It’s sad. I hope the mountain lion situation gets resolved soon. I have just started my first sweater, your Woodsmoke pattern. I’m knitting a size two for a family member and I really appreciate all the work you put into the tutorial to go along with it. I love the pattern on the sock you’re designing now. Have a wonderful, blessed thanksgiving ❤
I strongly recommend a pair of LGDs vs a single. I had two Pyrs and read somewhere that between the two of them they could of taken down a bear. Watching them just playing with each other I tend to believe that.
That is so scary about the mountain lion… I hope the state wildlife department helps you get that sorted. I just love your colourwork designs. I’m really looking forward to Bough and also mesmerized by the giant snowflake. Huge Susan B Anderson fan over here. I love that you’re making your kids Sleepy Kittys.
Really love the sock colorwork motif!! ❤ Cougar...not so much! I had my first cougar encounter in our yard this summer...still spooked! 20+ years of plenty of sign...I know they are there, but seeing one in close vicinity....the most terrifying and beautiful animal experience of my life! ( I lived in bush Alaska...so i have had quiet a few!... but no cougars up there! 😂) our neighbors had a great old gaurd dog that passed a few years ago and my old husky who passed last spring😢....pretty sure they are why I never actually encountered one for 18 years! Glad you got a puppy!
I am working on the Blizzard sweater right now, and also smiled so big when you followed up talking about the Rambler yarn! I bought 2 skeins from Battenkill Fiber at NY Sheep and Wool last month. I am patiently finishing up a sock before I cast on socks with it! The colorwork looks amazing!
Oh my goodness (sheep story) hopefully good dog will short out everything. Love the new star design ... cannot wait to see what cool thing u come up with. Happy Thanksgiving! And safe travels.
Please tell me you and your husband carry a gun if you have to go out near the evening or early morning. Have you considered making a triangle shawl with the stars in a band in the V pattern coming out of the point of the V? Sorry, it is easy to draw but hard to describe.
Glad you’re feeling better ❤ yikes! The mountain lion! We were surprised the other night when a pack of coyotes made themselves known as we were taking our dogs out at night. Love nature but definitely have a healthy respect for it. So excited to be testing Boughs for you 🎉 Happy Thanksgiving
Sorry about your sheep. Love your sock pattern. I’d like to try them. I am new to your podcast and I subscribed. I love your taste in patterns. Happy Thanksgiving
I love the sock pattern & the star sweater. The star design is awesome…

So sorry you’ve all been ill. I had to chuckle though as I’ve just come through Covid and my biggest complaint to my family was “I can’t knit!”.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and can’t wait to see your car knitting progress!

Wow! You have had such a lot on your plate lately! Day by day… things will get better!
So happy I found you! Love all your color work designs. I have not done a color work sweater yet but I will start with yours! ❤

Love this star.. can’t wait to see the full pattern. Good luck.
The kitten’s such a cute project. I think I’ll try it.😊

Maybe you could rescue a Pyranese.
