    Some disturbing information has come to light recently regarding the erroneous pronunciation of "Yahusha."
    In my opinion, this is quite alarming to the point that I feel compelled to speak out with this information, so as a follow up to this video revealing the grammatical issues, feel free to follow the link below that reveals a much darker deception:

      @하늘 소망 그리운 본향 Yah in the Old Testament can possibly refer to the Father or the other being in the ONE Yah-Elohim-God family, the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us. This is because Yahushua said no human has seen the Father. So that means Yahushua is the Yah of the Old Testament who appeared to Adam, Eve, Noah and Abraham.

    Having received a number of comments now, it seems that some are missing the point of the video. It's not about being RIGHT, it's to study together and find the answer to be more confident in our pronunciation. If you feel comfortable with Yahuah, that's great! My main issue is that NO ONE, despite the disagreement, seems to be able to offer any historical PROOF for this NEW pronunciation.
    1.) Yahweh would not leave us without any witness for over 2000 years: "By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established." (Deu 19:15; Mat 18:16; 2Co 13:1)
    2.) Every grammatical rule of Biblical Hebrew points toward Yahweh as the correct pronunciation.
    3.) Every historical written and oral witness points toward Yahweh as the correct pronunciation.

    Hi Ken and Linda! We hope you are well, Phyllis and I are doing well.
    A point to consider as we move slowly toward the study of the 4 vowels of the Name Yod-Hay-Uau-Hay; the letter we use in English called "double - U" (VV) is no older than the 15th century and the invention of the Gutenberg movable-type printing press. The first major job for Gutenberg was the printing of the entire Latin Vulgate in Latin (English uses the Latin alphabet as its letters by the way). The V-shaped Latin letter sounded as a U.
    By fashioning two V-shapes into one piece of type, the printer would save time and space when able to make use of it in words demanding two consecutive V's. At that time, the V still sounded as a vowel, but over time the phonology of the letter changed into a consonant.
    The letter W is entirely foreign to Eberith, as well as Greek and Latin. The spelling YAHWEH is therefore improper.
    Thanks for listening!
    ~Lew White

    • @2besavedcom-7
      @2besavedcom-7  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As you should well know by now, Lew, we are using TRANSLITERATION to allow an English reader to speak the Name, so we are at liberty to use ANY English letters necessary to do so and spell it any way we need to achieve this. In my country, I could spell it with four vowels, IAUE and almost everyone would pronounce it correctly. Spelling Yahueh/Yahuah automatically makes an English reader vocalize the HU (HOO), thus making it a consonant, which is why there are so many believers pronouncing wrong!
      By the way, I don't know anyone called Linda...

    • @LewWhite10
      @LewWhite10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@2besavedcom-7 The sound is the objective, you're absolutely correct. The unity of transliteration will ultimately be achieved at the point we stop using foreign scripts entirely. We will all read and speak authentic Eberith when Yahuah purifies our lips completely. Meanwhile, we slog along with Latin letters and recently formed uses of them.
      The early Greek transliteration of the four vowels is IAOUE. Because "YAHWEH" is two syllables, and that's incompatible with other Eberith forms such as "YashaYAHU" or "AliYAHU," as to be consistent with our transliteration of letters would demand these be "YashaYAHW" and "AliYAHW." H3091 (YAHUSHA) would turn out to be "YAHWSHA."
      The confusion can settle-down a great deal with very little effort. Yahuah hears us speaking to one another concerning His Name, and Malaki 3:16-17 describes us as His "treasured possession" (SEGULAH). Good talk brother, may Yahusha guide us into more knowledge and understanding, but even more for us to share His LOVE.
      ~Lew

    • @2besavedcom-7
      @2besavedcom-7  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@LewWhite10 - Transliteration does not demand consistency. It may help on certain occasions, but is not a necessity. Take for example Czar/Csar or Tsar/Tzar. I'd be interested to see how you would transliterate the 3rd Book in the TaNaKh - ויקרא.
      As mentioned in the video, I see all the historical evidence leans to Yahweh as the pronunciation, but Yahwah as an Aramaic (sister language to Hebrew) as a possible option, but find zero evidence for Yahusha.
      I notice you make no comment in regard to the evidence presented, yet transliterate the Messiah's Name as Yahusha. Take note of the earliest example in the video - יהשוע (Yahshua) and the numerous examples from the DSS - יהושוע (Yahushua) and almost every reference close to the Messiah's birth - ישוע (Y'shua).
      All forms include the suffix: shin, waw, ayin, and as mentioned, the practice of "defective spelling" is a rather common occurrence.

      Look at the way English speakers pronounce Uriah (Yoo-rye-ah) or Uganda (Yoo-gan-dah).
      The "double U" was created fro this exact issue. It's a long voweled U pronounced as "ooh" and fits perfectly, without causing untold confusion over pronunciation, so thanks for highlighting the point.

    1. Factually incorrect. The Cherokee, the Iriqois, the Hopi and even the Polynesians use the name Yahuah. Answering: that there is no historical or verbal usage of those names. YAHUAH is a recent pronunciation.
    2. Lessons in Biblical Hebrew teach the Masoretic pronunciation which did not exist prior to the 9th century AD.
    3. Functioning Hebrew grammar also renders it very possible with the patach beneath the yod, the shurig on the vav.
    4. Good question. I will let him dig that out - Answering: that their couldn't have been scores of people who were unsaved because the Name was hidden.
    5. First of all, not all Hebrew is accented on the last syllable (the ultimate pronunciation); there is a second pronunciation called the penultimate which places the accent on the second to last syllable. However in the case of the name, they are pronounced evenly without accent.
    6. He is incorrect on changing the sound of hey to ah changes it to a consonant. Look at the words Sarah, Torah, Shalomah. No one says Toray.
    7. I guess he needs to wipe out the references to Eloah in Job and Daniel. Answering: AH changes it to a feminine suffix.
    8. Have him look up Strong's H433 אֱלוֹהַּ 'ĕlôah
    9. I have written an extensive blog on this. The vowel sound he supports is an election which is overridden by the vast bulk of scripture. Halleluyah - not halleluyeh. Answering: He prefaced his Name at the Burning Bush with AHYEH ASHER AHYEH.

      As I posted elsewhere, I do not take issue with the way Dr. Pigeon pronounces YHWH (eeahooah) but the transliteration that forces readers into error (eeaHOOah). One of my best friends, Alan Horvath pronounced it Yahwah and had good support from Aramaic tradition, but as I point out and I think was missed in your dialogue (#6) was the 2nd Hay is being forced into a consonant with the transliteration of "Yahuah."
      By using "Eloah" (#8) to give answer to the masculine/feminine question is clutching at straws. It is not a name, and even admits that AhyEH asher AhyEH is the correct suffix when the root word hayah is compounded...
      What I would really love to know is why he chose to use Yahuah over Yahwah, which would have saved a lot of pronunciation error!
      Second, I would rather see a response to Yahusha, which is really the one that has no Biblical support and I see others claiming all sorts of straight up lies about "shua" vs. "sha."

      Thank you for your response. I love Alan's teachings. In my prayer language the Name comes out as YAHWAH or YAHWHAH, so that's how I say it. When I say YAHWHAH, the way Alan taught, it sounds like YAHUAH. I use the Name YAHUSHA because of Dr. Pidgeons detailed teaching about Joshua's name being the same as Mashiach's. I've stayed away from Yeshua since it means salvation, and seems to be in Scripture many times apart from a name. The bottom line for me is that I don't know Hebrew but I desire to speak the Names correctly. You and Dr. Pidgeon teach with authority. So did Alan with the Paleo Aramaic Hebrew Otiot. I think he said YAHSHUA. Do you see the dilemma?

      @@charleshoffman3830 - As I say, Yahwah I do not really take issue with, but YaHUah, but bear in mind that Aramaic, although it is a sister language to Hebrew, has different grammatical rules, which is why, as well as the historical evidence, I still maintain Yahweh.
      You are correct that the Messiah has the same name as Yahoshua Bin Nun, which is why I included the oldest written appearances of his name and as anyone can clearly see, is spelled with a waw between the shin and ayin.

      Honestly, you can use any English letters you want to transliterate a foreign word as long as the reader can understand. Yaueh, Iaue, Iawe, etc.
      What I find is that when a "u" is used, people in the western world tend to say YaHOOah, yet all the letters - yod, hay, waw, hay are historically vowels, thus emphasizing the H in Yahu is incorrect.
      If it concerns you that you may be pronouncing His Name wrong, this is a good thing, so just stick to Yah (used multiple times in the Texts) until you feel satisfied with your research.

      Even those who spell it the same will have minor pronunciation differences depending on your native tongue and He clearly knows this.
      Your question regarding "ancient" and "modern" Hebrew is answered by examining how other ancient languages transliterated the Name. This is why I presented the evidence here. The consistent transliteration across the board is that "Yahweh" is the closest English comparison and 'Yahshua/Yahushua" is the only real option.

I to have been on a journey to ascertain the truth of His Word, both written and living. I found this video teaching most welcoming. I ask only that you go through this video very carefully a few more times as you will find terms, such as: I believe,I think, always, etc… It’s my understanding that the pronunciation as Yahweh dates back to the 18th century? That said, he did present potential New evidence leaning toward this pronunciation? However, the finality he claimed of his research does not reflect conclusively that this is a book closed matter? As he himself disclosed. And so we as the Bornean’s before us should search the Scriptures, as well as outside sources for a greater grasp on this subject. And by all means prayer and fasting seek out the set-apart Spirit of Truth! I pray that this has been a helpful word of encouragement to you? I have listened to Nehemia Gordon’s research of the name and it made sense to me that the pronunciation used in the first KJV was likely to be correct. I’m sure you’ve seen Nehemia’s videos? I’m keen to hear your thoughts on Yehowah / Yehovah please?

      I guess my biggest issue is the fact that YHWH would not leave us without a witness till 1611 and Yahweh has the most historical evidence in ALL languages.
      Yes, I'm familiar with Mr. Gordon and have paid little attention to his studies other than a cursory glance due to the fact that he possesses a "spirit of Antichrist" (denies the Messiah) but as mentioned in the video "Yehovah" is an impossibility with Hebrew grammar.
      To be honest, I don't know why all the Greek MSS use Theos and Kurios, but the Peshitta gives clues to where YHWH might be used with it's use of the Tile MarYah. I personally believe that Yahshua did indeed use the Name Yahweh when quoting from the OT prophets.

      I was wondering if you think Abba Kadosh would allow a fake mighty one to use His name?
      If not, then we should consider that His name should not be what other pagan fake mighty ones have been called? Just a thought.
      I know the antichrist will come in the name of our messiah, so perhaps Abba did allow fake ones to take his name?
      The evidence for Yehowah is in some parts of the masoretic text from what I understand. Other written evidence exists of the oral passing on of this pronunciation - confirmed in letters from Rabbi to Rabbi and other documents. Many found in the Vatican archives so who knows if they’re reliable or not?!
      I agree that we should have our eyes open and not be deceived by those who have the spirit of antichrist, but I also know that the tribe of Judah have been entrusted with many precious jewels of knowledge - eg. which day the sabbath is - so we would be unwise to dismiss a witness.
      Yehowah (written as Jehovah) was used in European bibles before 1611.
      I’m not saying Yehowah is definitely right, I’m just agreeing it’s worth more exploration :)
      I’ve also come across Jeff A Benner recently and he is very good at explaining what the pronunciation possibilities are that would fit within the grammatical rules of ancient Hebrew. I’m sure you’re aware of his work, just mentioning it for the benefit of others.

      HalleluYah Scriptures restored that vision.

    I’m new to this and I have a few questions. Youre video was very helpful and with me having no knowledge of Hebrew whatsoever I am in need of some assistance. What do you think about the word Yahovah or Jehovah because Ive heard a lot of people saying “hovah” in Hebrew means disaster/destruction/ruin and by saying “Yah”-“Hovah” you are saying “God of destruction” which isnt right. 2. What about the name Jesus? Do we call him Jesus still or stay with the name Yahushua and lastly, What can i call him besides “Lord” and “God” because Ive realized what you have said about them is true and I still want to show my Father respect.

    • @2besavedcom-7
      @2besavedcom-7  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      1.) While it is true that "howah/hovah" (הוּה) means ruin, calamity, etc. I'm a bit hesitant to chop Hebrew words in pieces unless they're compound words, a bit like removing a "k" from "sink" and saying it's "sin."
      Both Yahovah and Yehovah are derived from the addition of Masoretic niqqud (vowel points) that were added to pronounce Adonai, rather than Yahweh.
      2.)I believe that a Yahweh overlooks our ignorance for a time, but once we know the truth, and then return to an error, or sin, we are accountable: "Truly, then, having overlooked these times of ignorance, Elohim now commands all men everywhere to repent." (Acts 17:30)
      3.) I use multiple titles, like Father, Elohim, Adonai, Almighty, El Shaddai, but He has one Name that there are hundreds of Texts commanding us to call on His Name, either Yah (as in halleluYah) or Yahweh.
      Hope this helps. If you have any more detailed questions, feel free to email me info @ 2besaved com.

    Shalom brother I love how you love our creator. The name Yahweh is kind of pagan too. When we come to the name of the creator the letter w is really what it sound like "double-u". Before it became a true letter the letter "v" had the true sound of our modern day "u". They needed 2 u u to make the "oo" sound like pool or even how pronounce mule. In Latin the world the name Gladius was spelled like this "Gladivs".Around the 1700s W became an official letter. I think everyone knows about j and how it use to be an "I" but the name for the pagan god Jupiter was Jove and was pronounced Yah-wey or Yoh-weh which is very equivalent to Yahweh. It was only 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet before the modern became about with a new vowel system call the "nikkud" system. So we have to subtract the modern sounds out. (J,I,V,E,W,O,F). I encourage you to look this up if you don't mind. Ahab u Shalum peace and love brother!!!

      All good points, but the "V" was simply a "U" (it's easier to chisel straight lines) and paleo-Hebrew and even proto-Hebrew, which predates Greek, Roman and Latin by about 800 years, has ALWAYS contained a "waw" (the peg/nail) and has always (as far as we can historically discern) been pronounced as "ooh" or "oh."

    I read somewhere online that Yahweh is the correct pronunciation, albeit with a slight “oo” after Yah. Something similar to Yah(hu)weh. This make sense to me concidering names like Eliyahu and Yirmeyahu have “Yahu” suffixes, so I assume the “oo” sound is swallowed up in the “-weh” part.

    • @2besavedcom-7

      Yes, you're correct, in that the W simply represents the oo sound of the waw, and the hey is treated as a vowel rather than an English consonant.

      In the Hebrew language, there is separation of masculine and feminine words.
      A feminine name or word that ends in the letter hay (ה), as a rule (there are exceptions) ends in "...ah" and are pluralised with "...ot"
      Masculine words or names don't often end in hay, but when they do end in "...eh" eg:
      Menashsheh (Manasseh), Nineweh (Nineveh), Mosheh (Moses), Yephunneh (Jephunneh), Shaweh (Shaveh), etc.
      Pay close attention to both Nineweh and Shaweh in that both these masculine names end in waw, hay (וה) the same as Yahweh (יהוה)

    At 7:10 in the video the author states that when a word in Hebrew ends in a (HEY) with an “AH” sound it denotes the feminine; and therefore would not be part of our masculine father’s name.
    Isaiah
    Jeremiah
    Micah
    Jonah

    Zephaniah
    Many masculine names end in the AH sound.

    • @2besavedcom-7

      While Yahushua (יהושוע) is the FULL spelling of the Messiah's Name, Hebrew does use abbreviations which are seen in the Texts:
      Yahshua (יהשוע)
      Yeshua (ישוע)
      The last one is my least advised one to use, because it removes the Name of Yahweh almost completely and was popular around the time of the Messiah due to the fact that the Jewish leaders had banned the use of the Name Yahweh.
      There is no historical written or oral evidence whatsoever for Yehusha or Yahusha.

    • @2besavedcom-7
      @2besavedcom-7  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As I have attempted to show in the video, Hebrew utilizes abbreviation as well as "defective spelling" and the Messiah's Name appears in Hebrew Texts as Yahushua (full spelling), Yahshua (see paleo at 12:39), and Yeshua/Y'shua (popular at the time of Messiah due to leadership ban on use of the Name YHWH)
      I prefer to use Yahshua when transliterating because when most folks see Yahushua, they tend to say "YaHOOshua" which is poor pronunciation, but rather YahuSHUA (YowSHUA).
      The "hay" in Hebrew is often treated as a vowel letter and more of a breath than an "H" which is why even Jews to this day say "Yudah" (YooDAH) instead of "Yahudah" (YaHOOdah).
      It's all about experience and I recommend all believers study as much Hebrew grammar as they have time for :)
      Shalom. Max.

      Elohim is used in both singular and plural contexts (not only for Yah, but false gods, angels and man) and is usually easy to determine. It's one of those things that scholars have debated for centuries and it's not the only word used this way. Shamayim (heaven/s) is also used in the singular as well as plural.
      It appears to me that "Iesous" is not the closest transliteration to Yahshua and I see a clear pattern in the suffix "sus/sous" in a number of names and places linked with Zeus worship, eg Dionysus, Pegasus, etc.

      Personally, I would use the same English definition as the HalleluYah Scriptures, which is "Mighty One" or "mighty ones" because the term applies to anyone in the Bible who Yahweh has appointed as "mighty," which includes angels (even fallen ones), false gods, Yahshua and even man in some cases.

    Sincere question and not with a presumptuous tone of argument. The Hebraic rules you speak of, are they modern Hebrew or Paleo Hebrew. Who established these rules? I ask because upon research, I've come to understand that Yiddish plays a huge role in modern Hebrew language rules.
    Also, isn't it more about dialect? Tomato vs. TOETAWTO. I've heard it said that Paleo/Ancient Hebrew is unable to really be studied.

    • @2besavedcom-7
      @2besavedcom-7  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yiddish has nothing to do with Biblical Hebrew. The pronunciations and Grammar were all documented even before the Masoretes (5th-6th century) developed the niqqud system.
      On your last point: correct. Ancient Hebrew is unable to be studied, however, what we are able to do is compare transliteration of contemporary languages (Egyptian, Phoenician, Babylonian, etc) to see how they copied names and places. Because the proto-Hebrew was once thought to be Phoenician, linguists actually have a lot to compare with.
      There is much that can be assumed about dialect and this could be a real factor, which is why I don't mind at all if people say Yahwah (not YoHOOah) and there's even an account in Scripture that discusses this (Jdg 12:6)

      6 "And you shall be very strong to guard and to do all that is written in the Book of the Torah of Mosheh, so as not to turn aside from it right or left, 7 so as not to go in among these nations, these who remain among you. And make no mention of the name of their mighty ones nor swear by them, nor serve them nor bow down to them. 8 But cling to יהוה your Elohim, as you have done to this day. 9 For יהוה has driven out from before you great and strong nations. As for you, no one has stood against you to this day. 10 One man of you put a thousand to flight, for יהוה your Elohim is He who is fighting for you, as He has promised you. 11 And you shall diligently guard yourselves, to love יהוה your Elohim." @@marcsmith8146 In answer to your question, we actually do know from all historical records that there are vowel sounds between the consonants of Hebrew. It's a matter of examining ancient sources and contemporary transliterations to do our best to determine what they are so that the Hebrew language (names and places particularly) can be transliterated into English.
      My goal in the video was to show that history (both written and oral) have left us with a good record so that we can know the Name of the Almighty and thus not make a liar of Himself by not fulfilling the promise in Exo 3:!5

    I certainly agree with what you said in your disclaimer. It is more important that we address him by the name that he gave himself even if it is not 100% phonetically correct. The point is that he has a name and it is not HaShem, which in my opinion breaking the commandment in Exo 20:7. At least God can somewhat refer to Elohim. ha shem means "the name" which can refer to anything or anyone, therefore it refers to nothing at all. I cannot think of a more perfect word to make his name naught (nothing). How arrogant to take two words that point to nothing, combine them, and turn them into a proper name for the Creator of all things. The 22 letters in Hebrew are actually signs that point to a higher form of meaning. Therefore, we can know something about our relationship with YHWH (יהוה) by looking at the signs (letter) that make up his name. A name that does not define him, but a name the describes who he is too mankind. I think one day that we will discover that the root of many of our problems stem from the decision by Israel to hide YHWH Elohim from the world. Judaism, Islam, & Christians do not call upon his name.

      When the Trigrammaton is used as a suffix, then the vocalization does indeed end as ...yahu, for to render it as yahw is just pointless. If you bother to listen to a native Hebrew speaker (unlike Americans) they actually pronounce this "Netanyaoo" and the hay is treated as a vowel (which it is).

      There's literally hundreds of articles and possibly numerous videos on the subject.
      Even the editor of the JW Watchtower magazine admitted it's a "blunder."
      “By combining the vowel signs of Adhonay and Elohim with the four consonants of the Tetragrammaton the pronunciations Yehowah and Yehowih were formed. The first of these provided the basis for the Latinized form 'Jehova(h).' The first recorded use of this form dates from the thirteenth century C.E. Raymundus Martini, a Spanish monk of the Dominican Order, used it in his book Pugeo Fidei of the year 1270. Hebrew scholars generally favor 'Yahweh' as the most likely pronunciation.”
