      Yeah great little cars to be fair, by far the best small engined car we've owned for sitting on the motorway.
      Relatively quiet and sits nicely at 70 and doesn't sound like it's screaming it's head off like most 1 litres.

      @@LeadFootash23 Not been on the motorway, it must be on 4k for 70 surely? But these like to rev highly lol. Find it cool that it's part Mercedes lol, is that why parts are pricey?

      @@highwaykid10gaming34 we've found everything quite cheap for it so far but most the stuff we have changed has been the Mitsubishi specific parts so that could be why. The joint parts may possibly be a bit more expensive if they're produced by Mercedes

    The other bit that was rusty and you said you would ideally replace (but did not have time), any idea where I can buy that? Do you know the part number / name? I have looked on ebay but can't find that other part

      I live in the Lake District in England, it's full of lakes because its always raining. Most cars around here look like that unfortunately 😆

    Thank you for the video. I have a problem with the same car. When I drive on uneven roads I hear a small clunking coming from the right side. I replaced the suspension arm, ball joint and anti-roll bar yet the problem remains. Someone advised me to replace suspension strut top set. I see it a lot of work and it costs a lot. Based on your experience is my problem related to suspension strut top set?

      It's possible, It's hadd to say without seeing it though. A knock could literally be coming from anywhere.
      Best thing to do it take the wheel off and lever the suspensionup and down and see if you can hear where It's coming from

    Thanks for upload, wonder what Mitsu were thinking when they hid the strut top bolts under the wiper motor box...?

      Not sure, it does seem like a he'll of a lot of effort just to get to a couple of bolts

      I came across enough stuff under the hood of mine making me ask the same question, such as the steering rack, the way of adjusting the valves and access to the front light bulb. Not to mention the dashboard clock radio and milage monitoring unit and the very short backseat; terrible while driving. The screws generically are no typically Japanese anymore. The only Japanese thing about it is that it keeps going and going as a real survivor no matter what

    Never knew the Colt shared the chassis with a Smart Car. Learn something new everyday! 👍

    So can this method be used to other vehicles?

    • @LeadFootash23
      @LeadFootash23  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most of the process is the same, they do have a very strange bearing on these cars though. You'll probably find they're a lot more simple on most other cars

    I have owned 3 colts from 2005 -2013. I still drive the 2009 as the 20143 was hit and written off. I do all my own maintenance (always have) but the Colts need so little I'm getting rusty ha ha ha

    Mine when starting the brakes looks like not working then abs light comes on, after that the car brakes fine but with abs light on, you think is the bearing?

    Thank you for this informative video. I have raised the clearence of my Colt for 3cm by adding spacers on the tops of suspensions. However, now when I start tu turn steering wheel from the right edge to left, it makes a clunking sound at the start, as if some metal is not aligned properly in the suspension. Do you know what can it be? And is it safe to drive?
