Dear Heidi, could you please tell me, if you detangle your hair before applying a hair mask or olaplex no 3. Or do you detangle after you applied it. Thank you so much. ❤
I sometimes may do things wrong or differently. But ideally, detangle your hair when it is dry and of you must detangle when wet, do it a couple of minutes after Olaplex No3. That way your hair is stronger.

Glad to see this today because I’ve been using 5 and 8 and today just using 8. I usually also leave treatments on 30 minutes but remist after 15 and also cover with cap. I’ve asked olaplex about leaving on all night and just like you said it doesn’t work once hair is dry so I’m going to skip that. I also haven’t tried 9 because I combine 6 and 7 before drying and still have a lot in those bottles since I use so little. Should I be using the 9? I color and highlight my hair every 5 weeks and started this about 18 months ago. It has definitely made a difference. I also use an aquis hair turban when I’m finished to minimize hair dryer time and for that it’s about 5 minutes with my Dyson. Yes it’s expensive but it has been worth it.
The Olaplex 4C worked amazing for me! I have very hard water and I actually felt the chelating effect of this shampoo. It foams really well, it’s concentrated and didn’t leave the ends of my hair dry. Of course, you should use once in a while, not with every wash. I am using aveda almost since 1 1/2 years .. their botanical repair mask is really good .. cherry almond shampoo is good but only con is for a oily scalp person like mine , my hair gets greasy quite often .. I just feel they are overpriced for the job they do .. atleast in India
I’m now probably going to try the 9 and everyone now is the time. Right now on the olaplex site they have value sizes for 3,4,5 and when a certain amount is spent (can’t remember) they give you a code for a free reg size #3. (This means put the value sizes on separate orders for more 3. Maybe that’s cheating but I rationalize because I think I’m a good customer and I’ve referred a lot of people) I don’t do the whole routine every time. I think I’ll reserve my #5 for when I’m just washing. It’s also possible to split the total into 4 payments no interest. It was free shipping.
I tried the K18 leave-in repair mask and I’m disappointed 🙁. It doesn’t absorb wellI; it just sits on top of the strands. It feels heavy and does very little about frizz. I want my bouncy hair back! It’s Olaplex or nothing!
@@terenoy Sorry to hear! You could be applying too much. Remember it's a concentrated product...try using less and see how you go? It would be a shame to not use it after all it is pretty pricey. It really helped me grow my bleach damaged hair!
