Oh, Heidi, apologies for not seeing this notification earlier and to learn about Lexi. We had a Cavalier who developed heart disease later in life. On the first day of our holiday in our caravan, he was attacked & bitten by a dog on the next pitch who hadn't been tied up. Charlie yelped but fortunately wasn't injured. Unusually, he got out of his bed that night & walked over to our bed & my husband stroked him before turning around & going back to bed. Moments later, I realised he wasn't breathing. I think he knew and slipped away peacefully. We were absolutely heartbroken coming home straight away. I hope the medication helps Lexi as much as the meds Charlie had been prescribed as we had him another 2 yrs & he certainly had more spring in his step. Sending much love ❤
Hi again Heidi, yes you did mention how to laminate on one side, but instead of wasting the other side of the laminating sheet put your 2 sheets of copy paper behind your card paper then turn it over and put another printed sheet on the other side so you will get 2 sheets laminated with your design instead of one side. I love watching you from Australia and hope you try this it will save you wasting a laminated sheet. I have organised a big craft show here in Yamba N.S.W Australia we don't have anything like you have in England and I am a great fan of Lavinia Stamps. Lots of Love and I hope your dog gets better soon. Cheers Jan
I’ll say some prayers for you and your family as our pets are our children too. You’ll see Lexi at the rainbow bridge when you reunite with her in heaven . Thanks for the awesome tip using the envelope punch. Hugs
Heidi, if you put your patterned paper back toback with a sheet of copy paper inbetween you will not waste the other side of the sheet of laminator. I do this all the time and it works brilliantly and you have your paper laminated in one go. Give it a try. Good luck with you doggy, its really hard when they have been so loyal. 🥰
These are the most sturdy, handy envelopes. I like them with the art work on the front. It might be worth putting the “unstuck” pieces back through the laminator when you know it is working hot, because the glue didn’t melt the first time through and should melt the second or even third time.
Such a fun project. So sad to hear about Lexi. As A Cavalier mom I've been through it and am going through it. It's so hard. Thinking of you. Thanks for sharing. 💞
Sorry to hear about Lexi, I understand what you mean when you say they are your babies. I just recently lost my baby boy Yorker with an abscess that came on suddenly. Because of his age, the vet bills, which are so expensive. Surgery that possibly won’t help, I had to make the decision to let him go sleep. I made sure I was with him, talking , cuddling and telling him how much I love him. I understand when you say you are down . Sorry for going on. Miracle can happen, fingers crossed.
iv just been using my Laminator to make some messy mats for our crafty group on monday so looking forward to watching this at 7_20 sunday night after being out at a Christening this afternoon x
With the meds for Lexi being expensive, I had the same with one of my old dogs who had Cushions disease, I got a private prescription from my vet which cost me about £20 & then would buy the meds from a online company called Viovet. It’s so easy you send them a scanned copy of the prescription & they send the meds to you monthly & it’s so much cheaper. Our prescription had 6 repeats on, so lasted 6 months. Definitely worth looking into
Love this idea. So sorry about Lexi, make the most of the time you have with her, extra cuddles & what she loves. Not watched the last few lives as I lost my dog Molly suddenly and unexpectedly on the 11th. Hopefully I will catch up over this week, depends on where my head is 😢💔. Insurance companies are the worst, mine wouldnt even put anything for cremation costs.
I’ve just been watching and thinking about what you said about the keyboard warriors. As crafting has been around for donkeys years most things have already been done, but there are always new people who have not seen things. But I wonder if those KW, have a go at the many craft companies who copy something that someone else has invented!! I thinking of things like the Stamping Platform. One was invented, and then loads came out. Yes they maybe slightly different, but not the idea. Carry on what you’re doing Heidi, we love all that you do. xxxx
They are brilliant Heidi, absolutely lovely. They are so different. So sorry to hear about Lexie it's so sad. I think vet's bills and insurance prices are really astronomical they are a licence to print money, something should be done about it.Give her a cuddle from me.
Hi Heidi, I'm so sorry to hear about Lexi dog 😢. Thank you for showing us another use for the envelope maker. I have the same one. Could you do a video on how to use it!! ❤❤
Name and shame the insurance place, cause that’s daylight robbery. We have been there and we cancelled the four lots of insurance, and we paid the same amount into a high interest account. It worked out much better. We do the same for the three dogs we have now. There is so much more I could say but I’m in tears here for our little snorer and of course you her family. Give her love and hugs from me, and hugs to you, Andy and Rosie. Luv xxx Ann xxx
Sorry to hear about Lexy we had same problem with our last cocker spaniel. We paid for prescription from vets and got tablets from pet prescriptions online. Half the price. Vets don't tell you this a friend told us. Xx
I've been making laminated envelopes for a while ready for Chr Christmas They are fun to make and do two at once back to back so paper backed for inside envelopes and gift bags x
@@heidi-theyorkshirecrafter Yeah I did do that with tags and bookmarks. I found with my envelopes and specifically my gift bags/small pocket envelopes came out too bulky for my hands to cope with lol. Probably paper too thick combined with Damn arthritis!!! PS ignore keyboard warriors and I am also very sad about Lexi, our animals are our family. I know Lexi is in a wonderful loving home and wants for nothing. She is a lucky girl to have you and all the unconditional between you all xx
Understand your pain my husband are on a fixed income and our dogs are getting old and need more medical attention, it's hard when you love them and want to do best for them. Beautiful pouches.
I think it’s so unfair how pet insurance works. The older the pet gets they either put the insurance up or cancel it. Private medical insurance is the same for humans. As I’ve had RA for years, they wouldn’t touch me for private insurance. My heart goes out to you Heidi and Andy. xxxx
Sorry to hear about Lexi, I am in tears, just lost my cat, totally think you should cancel insurance , my insurance was same, you pay in and get no help
I think we get ripped off as pet owners with vet bills/ insurance/ and there is also bugga all in the way of standards when it comes to what is in their food, there is stuff that can make your pet very sick over weeks. We need insurance these days because of how the cost of living is so high, you can insurance your pup and pay for years and never use it, then one day they have an accident or when they have an age problem, they say oh but your dog is very old now we don't cover that or this breed are prone to this issue. For me, I set up an account for my dogs, I bank x amount a fortnight ( I'm on a pension) This works better as long as you are someone who won't dibble in it ;) I have mid-size dog she is a rescue and a small cross-breed boy, they are both prone to hip problems. People who know me, know i will go without for my animals
Love this and sorry about your puppy dog ❤️ My laminator just sticks around the edge. Do you need specific pouches? Thanks and sorry if this is basic - I’m learning. 🌷

These are fabulous Heidi! Great for storage. You could also use eyelets and threads for another closure idea. ❤
Yes that would look fantastic x
Wow I love these envelopes. Mt granddaughters will love them and me too. Sending hugs to Lexi xx
