    Great Reese. I also added a very subtle pink noise layer modulated by LFO 3, to add some warmth.

      @@BrokenElegance Thanks! I also have strange clicky sound (randonly in the middle of note) , even though I followed this tutorial precisely. Any idea what could be the cause?

    • @BrokenElegance

      @@MeditationMane Only thing that comes to my mind is that maybe one of your LFOs is not on trigger mode? You can also download the preset file and compare to that!

    Doesn’t really sound like a reese bass to me. Can anyone recommend some neuro or dnb with this sort of bass?

    • @BrokenElegance
      @BrokenElegance  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Can you elaborate why it doesn't sound like reese bass to you? Reese bass is a term for bass sound where two detuned waveforms phase cancel each other. In case you are looking for those glitchier or more complex sounds, this is the base sound for them and usually achieving those results requires bouncing and post processing.

    Hi Matias. Thank you for this tutorial, it really helped me a lot to get more interesting result than just a detuned sawave :) One question -> what was the purpose of routing both OSCs to both Filters if the second one is not used?

    • @BrokenElegance
      @BrokenElegance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are welcome! I am glad to help! To answer your question that was probably a mistake! I create these sounds from my head or based on existing sounds that I have made, so mistakes like that can happen! Basically it's there is no point doing that!

    Sounds okay, but this isn't a Reese Bass in the technical sense. It's just a modulated bass. Reese bass is a bass oscillator, FM'd most commonly by a sin wave osc. This gives basses the low, slow modulation on low notes, but fast oscillation the higher the note is played because the sin wave is oscillating faster

    • @BrokenElegance
      @BrokenElegance  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Reese bass originated from old casio synths which didn't have fm capabilities (well they had similar feature, but that wasn't really in use on the those early reeses). The pulsing effect you talk about can be achieved with few different ways. The phase cancellation used here also causes that sound, but not to as great extent as some other methods like fm.
