C&O 614 at Riverton Junction 01/14/2011

NS O69, C&O Steamer #614 being pulled by an NS C40-9, rolls southbound through the new alignment at Riverton Jct in Front Royal, VA at 11 p.m. The steamer is on its way to the Virginia Museum of Transportation to be put on display for a couple of months along side N&W 611 and 1218. Sometime in the spring, it will be moved once again to Clifton Forge, VA to be put on display there. It's too bad it couldn't be moved under its own power. Hopefully with NS's new steam program in cooperation with the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum will bring some live steam this way once the program is operational.
