I don't really thing so, I mean, there is a moment on the video we're he just talked to a villager and got scolded because he got stunk by bees, and he didn't said a word xD
The villagers are more friendly in City Folk, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, and Pocket Camp. Wild World has some rude villagers, but not as rude as the first game.
For this upcoming game, I hope the sass makes a comeback. I was unfortunate enough not being able to play the original game so I hope Nintendo decides to release it as E10 for the sake of having this sass!
Here's an idea I got by watching this video: perhaps the intention of having rude villagers was, in part, to teach players social skills. Seeing characters in-game react to what you say, perhaps even violently so, would teach players (many of whom were kids who needed to learn these lessons somehow) how people interact, and how they don't.

True, but that applies to all of the villagers.
He just likes you more than the original villager. Actually, the would be really interesting if the rude villagers liked some players but not all right away.
Damn! The animals were so rude and obnoxious back then. I'm glad New Leaf was my first Animal Crossing game. I would have thrown this game out the window if I had it. I play video to distress after dealing with rude people in real life. I did not need cute animals to be rude to me as well. 😂
This is obviously just taking the rude moments - they weren't like this all the time. Now they're really bland and dull...
@@andrewtucker94 i agree. now every animal feels like they have the same personality.
Andrew Tucker Even then, Wild World still expanded the villagers while keeping their rudeness (the sudden outbursts are less common though).
Stix N' Stones
I wish they had more varied dialogue if you have the same personality type, but I certainly do like their dialogues. Now with East- I mean, Bunny Day over I can finally talk with them without blowing a blood vessel!
New leaf was my first AC Game too
I miss their sassy attitudes and responses, I mean it was so funny.
All the villagers made Elementry school kids feel horrible
2:13 just noticed Ursula has a fucking GUN
I love that little grunting noise they do when they get angry lol
I'd like for the villagers now to be a little rude and snarky, but I don't want them to be viscously insulting like in the first game...
well i mean.. you *are* picking the least positive/supportive/agreeing term so.... lmfao
(some of them are a little rude tho... like fr ursala what’s up with her attitude)
I don't really thing so, I mean, there is a moment on the video we're he just talked to a villager and got scolded because he got stunk by bees, and he didn't said a word xD
@@bettywr6251 That is one example and the game has loads of villagers.
@@bettywr6251 There were a lot of nice villagers. The meaner villagers were of specific personality types.
No matter what I did they were ALWAYS mad, it was starting to get frustrating 😂😭
The villagers are more friendly in City Folk, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, and Pocket Camp. Wild World has some rude villagers, but not as rude as the first game.
2:10 Ursala has a fucking gun
Villager: *Doesn't give caterpillar shirt*
Ankha: *So you have chosen.... death*
“You could use the exercise” you’re no prize either
For this upcoming game, I hope the sass makes a comeback. I was unfortunate enough not being able to play the original game so I hope Nintendo decides to release it as E10 for the sake of having this sass!
And then after this tough life in the village, the villager committed suicide
LMAOO can't stop thinking about Tom as an old, angry British man calling Jeff a fat, bloated idiot 😂
Animal Crossing: Let's Be Dicks
Everyone: We want the mean villagers back!!
Me, with clinically diagnosed depression: haha... yeah. ._.
Villagers are much more understanding now than they were then.
Before I press play, I shall predict the future....I predict.... head whacking and pitfalls
Not this time! It's focused on *their* rudeness, not mine. Although I admit I was rude too when I told Baabara I hate her hair. :P
@@jvgsjeff She brought it upon herself lmao you were being honest 😂
Chief: "get a life!"
Me: "I came here to get away from my life. Yeesh."

when I’m working my retail shift
2:10 WELLWELLWELL ISN'T THAT A GUN??? I was already expecting her to shot
0:10
this is gordon ramsay level insults
Here's an idea I got by watching this video: perhaps the intention of having rude villagers was, in part, to teach players social skills. Seeing characters in-game react to what you say, perhaps even violently so, would teach players (many of whom were kids who needed to learn these lessons somehow) how people interact, and how they don't.
Its just like School.
If Tom lived in my town, I’d be crafting a LOT of axes. 🪓 Why you ask? Oh, no reason... meowzah.
AC:NH: "I got you a gift, I hope you like it!"
AC Original: "I'd sell you to Satan for one corn chip."
