Actually, there are Barbies that have full articulation with their bodies. They are called Made To Move Barbies. You guys should purchase those dolls and maybe just switch the heads so the girls from the mpgis series can have full movement (*cough* *cough* trisha could need some bending!!) just a suggestion tho :)
Sam and Mickey considered this idea for their channel, but unfortunately the Made To Move barbies have weak ankles, so it would be harder for them to stand up.
@@ConiferConnieTreeCow I love Sam and Mickey 😀 and yes the made to move barbies have crappy ankles. It's cool that they have a wide range of articulation but their ankles are extremely loose and never stay put.
I used to have a doll that was the exact doll for her and she came with loose hips from the store because she had elastic or string joints since she was an older doll
Extra Credit Studios I have some favorite doll repainters like Dollightful and HeXtian. There are a bunch to look for! I would like if you had repainted dolls on MPGIS or maybe giving some makeovers to much neeeded characters like Trisha and Mackenzie (rerooting the hair would be highly suggested). For customs that use primarily Barbie dolls, I think SugarCharmShop is a good TH-camr to look for. Hell that would be a interesting story for MPGIS, looking at Cosplaying as a hobby :P
You should totally make a course on Skillshare. Itll help with revenue and give an in depth course that wont interfere with the schedule of your TH-cam
For Brittnay, you could buy a doll of the same type (or a made to move one with full articulation) and switch the heads, so it has the new, stronger body but the same old head!
This is so interesting. I'd seen those kind of armature skeletons before, but never really knew anything about them. I love seeing the intricacies of stop-motion and how much time and detail have to go into a single puppet.
To tighten Brit's joints, you should try sueding her! I'm not sure how you'd do it for Barbies, but I do it for my BJDs and it really helps! Also, the brand Obitsu makes perfect bodies if you need more articulation. They have male and female bodies that come with hand options!
for my 'home alone' moments, i shoot close ups with another dolls arms :) awesome video !!! can you tell us more about your doll stand... looks like its solid
You can change out heads with either a hair dryer or boiling water. Boiling water will make the hair go straight, though, so just heating up their necks up at the head will make them easier to take off.
Instead of tie downs I drill holes in the feet and insert small strong magnets. I make all the action take place on a piece of steel I use for a stage.
I'd like to see your suggestions you gave to your fans put into some videos really. It is quiet interesting learning about how the studios at MPGiS make them dolls move. Keep up the good work guys
Cool! You guys should check out the Made to Move Barbies - they're completely articulated for a wider range of animations. The downside is all the visible joints, but with pants/long sleeve shirts it's not noticeable. As for Brittnay's loose hip, you might be able to tighten it back up a bit with some super glue or a rubber band. Head swaps are always favorable. :D The Phicen dolls are cool. I've heard of them and had seen some but I have no idea they were so intricate. Cool! Too bad they're so pricey!
I would like to see a tutorial about building a ball and socket puppet (not just the armature portion). I’m not finding too many decent videos for that.
Question: how do you loosen the armature if it has clay or foam covering it? I’m talking about the most advanced one. I’m guessing it’s a removable clay cover or would there be multiple versions of the character with the different tensions?
If I am wrong, but I am going to assume that you guys have looked at the "Made to Move" dolls by Mattel for Barbie? The draw back I know about this doll is the original bodies couldn't hold her own weight, but the curvy's possibly could somewhat. I see an idea here, that if you guys were to decide swap out of some of MPGIS characters, that the feet do pull out that you could add a small screw to give them support they needed similar to the phicens dolls and even possibly still use the feet with maybe with a small hole attaching it?
I'm curious about the specific process of making a foam molded body that covers the ball and socket armature. I don't quite understand how that works. Are you sculpting clay over the armature then casting it, scraping clay off the armature and then how do you attache the foam to the armature (ball and socket)? Also can you retrieve the armature from a puppet after you are done with shoot so you can reuse armature in another puppet?
I have a project where I have to animate two crocheted dolls and they, of course, don’t have armatures. I am intending to inject gardening wire into them wish me luck!
Hey, I'm pretty good with the animation part but I'm looking for someone to tutor me with Stop Motion Pro Eclipse. I need to become more proficient with the soft ware....Anybody?

Tris Woah. They should buy some
Maybe for Mackenzie and Brittany, but they’re never gonna change Trisha after they made that joke! It adds to her character
Legend has it said Trisha still can't hear her mom over the phone.

It's super weird to see Brittany as a puppet and not an actual character. Your videos are so good you stop viewing them as dolls
Of course Britnay's hip is loose.
Mynameis Chris
I gave a little shriek of laughter when I saw this
oh my god
Mynameis Chris but not her growler

Idgi I don’t get it
All the video ideas in this I would love, definitely do them

Mark and Carlo have never seen doll repaints, have they?
Do you have some favorite vids? That could be a cool topic to discuss in a later video!

The Royal Dolls TH-cam Channel and Instagram also have nice repaints and amazing rethreading Hairstyles.
Extra Credit Studios Dollightful is my personal favourite
SugarCharmShop does repaints and miniatures!

I’d love a DIY wire armature
This stuff is so cool to learn.
I like that this video doesn't have a dislike so far
A full wire tutorial would be great if y’all are still making videos!

You really need to get some made to move Barbie’s they can touch their face
Really helpful!! Thanks a lot. 😊
Would you ever make a tutorial video on the tiny vices you used for the phicen armatures?
The new season of MPGIS is about to be bomb
Please make a video on how to make a wire armature! This was super informative. Thanks!

Another great video so helpful!
Yes! Hand animation please!

you could put plasteline or some kind if clay that isn't messy into the joints of the dolls to temporarily make them sit in place
you could use weights on the feet or heavy little magnets.
there is also wire coated in rubber. i don't know whether it'd be of any use though...
VERY educational, loved it! :)
Great tutorial

this is so cool! I love your work💕
it would be cool to use BJD too
10:10 To clarify would it be any kind of thread, or is it a specific kind of thread that can hold the wire better?
question what if the stage was actually metal and the sole of the foot a magnet would that work , easy to move and will always stick ?
Please make a video about wire amateur I am really interested I like to make my own puppets/ dolls out of wire
